It’s not just that he only throws to wide open receivers. It’s that he is inaccurate and does not make throws on time. Dude has a world of passing problems but maybe we should have 15 to 20 designed runs per game for him. If you’re going to play him that’s the only way the offense will have any consistency.

All good man!

I don’t know how to make a gif of the twitter clip to make it easier but I knew I was going to get hit with the Nuss’s interceptions lol

Do you have a link to his highlights vs Arkansas?

It’s on YouTube and he threw a few picks and wasn’t accurate but that was two years ago. He looked like crap vs Southern and Auburn when he was put in last year. He also improved vs Georgia and Purdue at the end of the year.

find it disingenuous for one to believe that one quarterback can improve and change his propensities and become a great passer yet not believe that another in the same program is unable to rein in his gunslinger mentality.

Where did I say that I didn’t think Nuss could improve or that I did think Daniels would improve? All I pointed out was that the two have different flaws.

It's not that JD CAN'T... it's that he won't

JD5 will lead LSU nowhere. As I have said, there is a peculiar entertainment value in watching how the staff adjusts down the road. Keeping the current QB will lead to disappointment, but what do I know?

It has to be frustrating knowing that you will not get the ball is the norm

We passed more than we ran. If the WR’s aren’t engaged that isn’t anyone’s fault but their own.

This comment literally makes your entire post and argument invalid. Daniles led us to the SEC Championship last year.

Daniels has his flaws and certainly had mistakes on Sunday but so did the entire team and he was not the reason we lost on Sunday but it is quite comical to see people dismiss all the other mistakes and flaws of this team and lay majority of the blame at Daniels' feet.

he's not throwing it to a receiver who isn't wide open.

Yep, JD would not have even attempted those throws.

You can say what you want, but those outside hash throws are very hard and to the far side of the field. The run game has to improve for both QBs to be successful.

This is why football is hard to truly critique.. we don’t know the reads, calls, how they have coached it. It’s all arm chair QB critique

I said "will lead". Future.

Well he did just as he did last year. His performance Sunday did not admit in the slightest of the promised improvement. When does LSU get off that bus? QB is the most important single position by far. A serious upgrade in QB play Sunday and LSU has a fighting chance to win. Cannot say that about any other single position. The man cannot read the field. Never has and never will. If Nuss is worse, then the program has some real problems unless Collins is ready to step in next year.

Cannot blame Daniels for playing. The responsibility is with the coaches as should it be. Further along that line, what a brilliant idea to game plan one of your best defenders out of the contest. BK's explanation of that stroke of genius made absolutely no sense. If this program is about getting players to the NFL above all else, then at least do us the courtesy of saying so.

Now this I agree with and this has been what I have been saying since Sunday. The offensive gameplan was the most disappointing aspect of the game offensively.

As far as Perkins usage and position we all saw it was a failure and according to Speights Perk is going back outside so even though it sucked what happened on Sunday at least they seem to be making the adjustment to better suit Perkins skill set.

Yes he can make those throws but is to scared of an interception
Showing no willingness to step out and try
Nationwide the media told him he doesn’t need to change when they showed him as number 2 in heisman odds

so daniels had all those passing yards vs uga in the first half - so how many td's? right. he had great passing stats vs fsu - how many td's? right.

daniels often has great stats without scoring. that won't get it down.

i'm tired of hearing about Nuss's interceptions. he will get better as he matures and gets more experience. Daniel's ain't taking us to the promised land this year so let's get Nuss in. i figure we'll win just as many games with him as we would with JD. and it'd be a whole lot more fun to watch

He can do it but won’t
Bench him and he may get the message
If we lose the MSU game with him I am done for the year
Even if we recover and win the west will get embarrassed by UGA again with him at QB

Why would I care much about a QB doing this?

QB's are for throwing to athletes.
