RE: GA game with 208 yards in 1st half.
66% completion
1 pass for 53 yards
1 TD and 1 INT.

Take away the outlier, and JD was averaging 6.7 yards a pass.

FSU from 2022 - QBR 89.9
FSU from 2023 - QBR 57.6

Returned the entire offense and coordinator and took all reps with 1's in fall ball.

he did it against Florida last year.
and he did it against their starters instead of Ole Miss backups that were up by 4 TDs in the 4th qtr.

I know, bro.

Why take away the 53 TD pass? That’s cherry picking.

The second throw to thomas on that reel was what I was screaming for in the first half of the game Sunday. Instead we did it 3 straight time to Malik and ball was well underthrown.

Because it's the anomaly with JD. If he did more long ball throws, it wouldn't skew the stats.

But I'll bite and play along. He's at 8.6 yards with the 53 yarder.

not significant one way or another.

So because he doesn’t throw 50 yard passes at the clip Joe Burrow was we’re just gonna make a mental note to ignore those whenever they happen?

And 8.6 yds per play is pretty good.

Early in the 2Q I believe. Was deeper into fsu territory but the mismatch was there with Thomas to hit him with an over the shoulder pass in the corner.

No JD can't make those specific throws, and Nuss can't break 60 yard runs. Our QBs are not the problem they are both solid options.

The question is not can he, but will he. He made some good throws that were not caught...but the throws he didn't make when we look at the plays in slow motion, is just mind boggling for a 5th yr senior qb that has been told to 'let it go'. He just freezes if the receiver is not WIDE open. Anyone college QB can throw to a WIDE open receiver. We expect better and if he isn't going to do it, then put in Nuss. Nuss has no problem throwing it and letting the receiver make a play. Very few Qb's in college football have the arm and vision of Nuss, but we are more interested in having a QB that run some. If JD doesn't change soon, I cannot see how Nuss doesn't take over and open up our offense. It was would criminal not to do so.

This is what people are talking about when we say throw the ball and let your WRs make plays on the ball. You see that right here in this Nussmeir video highlights. The receivers are making plays on the ball, snatching balls away from CBs and all, that's what they can do for you. Don't hold, and hold the damn ball until they become open like Daniels is doing because by then he's underpressure and taking off and running or getting sacked. Smh

The NFL is moving absolutelycin the direction of mobile qbs.

I agree but those QBs are still able to throw the ball down the field consistently. And they usually look at all options before going mobile. JD makes one quick read and if it’s not there takes off. He need to be more patient.

However that’s kinda hard to do when our OL continues to be dominated.

The fact that is the most disliked is that LSU has been blown out 3 out of the last 4 games.
