i said it, too. it was 3rd down and critical that they hold onto the ball. Still, i gave him credit for the good throw.

i really think the downfall started with the stupid late hit resulting in a 15 yard penalty and Alabama continues for their first score.

i just don't understand

yes, alabama made some great pass plays, and the refs totally fricked Ok in the second half, but ok coaching sucked. alabama figured out they had to rush more than 4, but Ok quit rushing more than 4 late int he 2d quarter and never figured out they need to rush 5.

the whole game changed when mateer didn't rush for the first down late in the 1st quarter on 3rd down. sure, he delivered the pass but it was dropped, that 's why you take the sure thing. after that, it was all over.
he should've run for the first down. granted, he threw an accurate pass but it was dropped. it was 3rd down and they were on their way to a score. no time to get greedy. no telling how many yards he could've run for. then the punter screws the pooch and then mateer makes another mental error.

he is in much better shape mentally but can he come back? OK's defense will have to go all out, because they have made alabama believe the game is theirs. first and second possessions for alabama are going to be critical in this game for the second half.

re: OU vs Bama …..football talk

I understand why everyone is picking alabama. they expect alabama to make adjustments and not turn the football over so much. While I expect Oklahoma to be just as tough on defense with pressures on Simpson, that is no guarantee of getting the turnovers.

The difference in the game has to be both qb's. Siimpson has to not make the big mistakes under pressure. Mateer has to play better than he did last game, although you have to give Oklahoma credit for their efficiency. They got the turnovers AND scored td's, not field goals.

it's a pick 'em contest to me.
really strong indictment against kelly. when we got kelly i thought he always had tough olines and Rb's and could run the football.
total b.s. post. all it did was put down the entire SEC fan base. there are lots of positives as well.
it's foolish to go for pure mercenaries. I don't think there is any problem with kids wanting to make some money, but imo you better make sure they love to play football and it's not ONLY the money.

lagway has probably been destroyed mentally, and he is not a runner.
you have to take his comments in context of a national championship qualification marathon. we all love the games, but the conference championships need to go, especially if the winner doesn't automatically get in. we can go back to the old way of declaring conf. champions.
alabama fans hate to be kicked when they are down, but that's all they watnt do to everyone else . take your lumps and like it.
kirby does fine against just about everyone else. He has made bad decisions against alabama. i don't know how anyone can argue against that? he should've won 2 or 3 at least of those games.

Looks to me like the problem was in his head against alabama, and he seems poised to put that in the past.

not bloody likely. line play on both sides of the ball plus conference influence on the refs makes an Indiana victory an unlikely scenario. looks like "Georgia vs Ohio State in the championship game right now.

DeBoer should do himself a favor

get his agent to make a deal with Penn State. it is impossible to replace Saban. he is a good coach, but he is in a losing situation. he is going to b miserable if he stays at alabama. Hell, they can't even enjoy winning. they are absolute bitches when they lose.
upvote. they were relentless. if a team can't run, it's so obvious.
I love it! alabama fans are so predictable.

c'mon alabama fans
