re: If we don’t get Will Wade

Given that we are already near the bottom of the power 5, I think we can take a chance on an up and coming coach without much or any program damage.

I appreciate your desire to problem solve. But there are other coaches out there who can build a program as well. Who aren’t 70 and making more than twice our current coaches pay. Just have to find them.
Someone referred to lane kiffin as coach K the other day. That leads me to believe you are correct.

It won’t be Wade but just hire a good coach and we’ll be fine
Get out of here with that opinion. It’s Wade or McMahon. There are no other options!

Does firing a coach after the season, and the time in hiring a new one, get you ready for a successful transfer portal effort?
Usually teams are looking to hire coaches that are still coaching up until a couple weeks before this date though. I suppose you can try and pull a guy mid season. But I just don’t see a benefit to firing a guy this early in the season even though logically the season is trending toward that result anyway.
I know who you are referring to. From my perspective. They aren’t starting shitpost threads that have almost zero substance other than to start a fight I guess. Usually I ignore it but I was probably just pissed off watching us lose again.
I don’t think a majority of head coaches are going to interview for another job mid season. The transfer portal opens shortly after the the season ends. There probably isn’t much value or harm in firing him now tbh, other than maybe appearing impulsive. Although it is bleak, the season is still I front of them, I’m not sure the optics would be great to retain him, only to fire him mid season.
Matt McMahon sees this as a moral victory?
What poster is in your head so much that you needed to make this a thread?

Great, I hope you get what you are looking for
It’s wild that mizzou, miss st. And Texas A&M are the 2-0 teams in conference thus far
Should have been a win with or without DJ. Bad loss for sure

The turnovers have been a big contributor

Gotta hit the shots to come back
Need more stops. No dumb fouls
Idk about a blowout, but we should be beating them. Just an awful showing in the first half on both sides of the court

Scar is having an offensive half like we did in the first half. I think it’s safe to say, quality basketball is not being played in the PMAC tonight

They leave the door open for us. The team is unable to walk through it at this point
Welp. At least I have moved on to the next phase of grief. Now it’s just laughable instead of rage

I can get on board with us scoring less without Thomas. I can’t get on board with Thomas being out makes us give up 50 in the first half
