Braswell looks like a pro in the field. He sure gets the ball out of a his glove quickly. Hitting will come around. He is making contact.

He’s not a starter yet

He has started the last two games at 2nd. He went 5 of 7 (.714 BA) with a double, 2 walks, a hit by pitch and a stolen base. So he got on 8 times in 10 plate appearances (.800 OBP, .857 OPS), scored 4 times, and drove in 4 runs.

If he keeps this up for a couple more games, he will have cemented the starting role, if he has not already.

I would bet a ton of money that he has not already guaranteed himself the starting 2nd base position.

That’s not gonna happen. Ole Jay promised Braswell he was the starting SS for the season. Just like he did Neal for last season.

I highly doubt he promised a guy who hit .250 with 1 HR last year that he was guaranteed to start SS all season.

3 game sample size, way way too early

You can certainly win jobs in these OOC games.

You have to hit SEC pitching to keep ‘em.

We see it every year.

Early results are promising. His ABs are professional, so I would at least expect him to play a bunch part time.

Prepare for your downvotes. Almost everyone here will tell you Jay doesn't promise a position to anyone regardless of team need or player talent.

It's early, but that kid looks built to be a lead off man.

Its a little too early to say hes the every day 2nd Basemen but he definitely earned more playing time and if he keeps performing like this then it will be very hard to keep him out of the lineup. He had a massive start to his career the last two games.

Love to hear stories like his where he struggled mightly against the velocity of the pitchers in the Fall and then made adjustments and improved to be one of the brightest shinning stars in the beginning of the spring.

tRant is hilarious.

Jones is murdering bad pitching and everyone is saying "well wait until the pitching gets better"

Milam is hitting well against bad pitching and getting on base and being compared to a future HOF 2nd baseman AFTER 2 GAMES

I hope both of them are able to keep it up.

Opposing pitchers trying to find the strike zone on Milam.

I do get a chuckle out of him being listed at 5'8 on the roster. Dude looks like he's 5'6 in cleats
