Oklahoma may sweep finals.

They will sweep. Their best pitcher is going tomorrow.
Someone in the post game online was saying they have a mega donor that decided to start donating 10 million a year for their baseball team
Looks like they will be one of the big boys we have to fight from now on

I'm quite surprised by Okie. According to the "experts," they weren't supposed to do much in Omaha. If there is such a thing as "momentum," they definitely have it.

I happened to be at the OU - GA Tech game three and that 10th inning walk-off HR is still in the air, probably orbiting the planet now. That whole team is just feeling it right now.

Don’t be naive, UNC is very good. Yes OU may win it all, they are hot. but I would not count UNC out.

You mean like using all fifteen pitchers who traveled in Atlanta to win that regional. That is coaching Skip, well-done.
Can you imagine lsu last year needing to lean on the back half of our staff in big spots for game or two on the road facing elimination? I’d rather not. Now is good time to leave this nightmare and look ahead to LSU’s 2027

Its gone up, not down. LSU’s last two championship teams were absolutely loaded compared to earlier championship teams. And that 2023 team - with Dylan Crews, Tommy Tanks, Ty Floyd, Chase Shores, Grant Taylor, Paul Skenes and Tre Morgan - needed two defensive gems to avoid getting eliminated.

Still so sure of yourself?

The guys counting NC out aren't so loud now. This is a good finals.

its a coin toss tonight. OU has deeper pitching and still has Cam Johnson who is gonna be a top 15 pick.
They've scored in the first inning in every game in Omaha so UNC has to stop them early. I think UNC is the home team?
OU has the massive crowd advantage. It really is a toss up

Cam hasn’t pitched since the regional where he gave up two runs and recorded 0 outs. If they are stupid enough to pitch him here, that’s a huge advantage for North Carolina.

Sometimes it simply about being hot at the right time. Fresno St won a title as a regional 4 seed back in 2008, they were hot at the right time.
Oklahoma lost their last 4 SEC series this year and only game in SECT and limped into regionals as a lower 2 seed sent to frankly one of the toughest regionals with GT at the top of that one.
Then GT had a pitching meltdown and gave up 23 runs in 2 games to lose to OU that regional. OU continued the hot bats and showed some elite pitching in the super on the road at Kansas to sweep there. Same in their first round game against Alabama. Then they had to grind out a low scoring win in game 1 vs. UGA and bats exploded in game 2 win against them.
This was a nothing special offensive team headed into the NCAAT, they were hitting sub .280 on the season with 1.22 HR/gm. In the NCAAT they are hitting .329 with 2.33 HR/gm.
They are getting some absolutely HUGE innings from freshmen who either werent in the roles they are in now in the regular season or just got absolutely shelled in the regular season. Cord Rager had a nearly 6 ERA on the season entering the NCAAT, with an over 7 ERA against SEC teams. He now has 4 postseason starts given up just 6 ER in 24 IP which is a 2.25 postseason ERA.
Sometimes its simply about being hot when it matters, and thats what OU is getting A LOT out of guys they didnt most of the season.

Pretty sure Cam is just an emergency late inning option for them at this point if they need it, not a starter at this point. He has had a bunch of meltdowns this season, only made 1 appearance over the last month where he failed to record an out, gave up a hit, walk, HBP and WP in 3 batters and was yanked.
The last quality start he had was April 25th where he did give up no ER in 5 IP but also walked 5 guys that start just didnt give up hits to have guys get driven in. He is an extremely high risk pitcher, I doubt they want to put him in a situation where the game is tight tonight. If they get up 5-6-7 runs, maybe you see him (or down that much).
Also Cam Johnson is NOWHERE close to a Top 15 pick, he's barely in MLB's Top 200 for the draft (#166 overall). That would put him around the sixth round. He still has very little control

So much for that. UNC has the better pitching left but nice try OU.

Cheering for the Tarheels...Oklahoma is cocky and I just can't cheer for them. UNC has been there 13 times and has never won...

Seriously? Wow.
I might pull for them then. I was naturally pulling for OU being here in DFW. But then I start thinking of the OU football fans and I'm kinda turning towards UNC now.
Plus we don't need another great SEC program to battle. IT is getting tough in the SEC.

OU fans a trash from top to bottom. When they lose they whine and pout, when they win they are cocky, arrogant, bastards.
