I suspect it also lets certain players know that they are not as good as they think they are...how many players enter the portal and do not end up finding another school. Presumably their career is now over. I wonder how many of the portal entrees from LSU will find this out the hard way.

Against an AMAZING WF team...54-10 before we beat them twice...on a 7 game win streak after sweeping regional and super regional and 2 wins in Omaha including once against us. LSU had pitchers step up those games to get us through. It is hard to lose in your first or second game and have to come out of the losers bracket.

Pretty sure the Georgia job was in the works before too much post season in 2023. I remember Wes was not at the championship celebration and saw very little of him in Omaha.

I love all the teammates and future teammates sharing the post too. Shows they are excited at the concept also.

They must start later in the day...He was on Rougarou one game (I think he only lasted one game) but couldn't manage to show up on time.

I guess that plan is for when the Tigers are in Omaha in the FUTURE chasing a title...because we are a long way from having been there this season.

No team from Omaha in 2025 will even make supers...Makes me feel a little better about the down year...that and UCLA losing at home. :)

I am just going to say, when Cade starts, people complain about him behind the plate...when Omar starts, people complain about him. Apparently neither of our catchers are worth a darn, unless they hit 4 home runs in a game, then people love them.

We already are! Cowan and Evans and Guidry were all relievers last year. The loss of Moore and the absence of Anderson and Eyanson is glaringly obvious in this year.

Let's not forget, LSU was still playing in Omaha when a lot of coaches were hitting the portal hard. Jay was busy coaching his team to a title and not as able to recruit portal guys. Happened in 2023 also, hence the down 2024.

My comment last night is they are so focused on getting the next grand slam, they are swinging poorly. It doesn't take much to drive in a run with the bases loaded and none out...whereas we walked 2 guys with them loaded...and then had an error to allow 2 more runs to score.

Lachenmeier has come in 2 games and promptly hit the batter...and got pulled. Rizy came in, was 0-2 on the batter before hitting him, then walking 2 more batters. You can deal with the triple and the single before those but gifts need to be not given...and when given gifts, take advantage (like everyone else seems to).

Jay is sometimes too quick to pull some pitchers but leaves others in too long.
