I guess that plan is for when the Tigers are in Omaha in the FUTURE chasing a title...because we are a long way from having been there this season.
Hardin, Noot, Primeaux, Caraway...none of which contributed much of anything this year. Primeaux went from the 1st in leftie last year to what 3 appearances this season...Hardin must have not done well in fall because he never seemed to see the field even when Stanfield and Brown were injured. Noot was better in 2024. Caraway just didn't prove himself to be reliable. No losses in this group, honestly. And how many of them were told in their final meeting with coach that they should enter the portal? Skip told players they had no spot on the roster for the next year, to look elsewhere...Mainieri told players if you get drafted, take what they offer...
No team from Omaha in 2025 will even make supers...Makes me feel a little better about the down year...that and UCLA losing at home. :)
Jay can not win with the fans...if he pulls a pitcher, he pulled him too soon. If he leaves him in, why didn't he pull him. The coaches are not booting the balls, throwing the wild pitches, looking at strike 3/swinging at pitches in the dirt. Jay has acknowledged that he messed up but give him a break. I can absolutely see next year being a great year again. The freshmen that are getting to play right now due to injuries can see that there is a place for them on the team next year.

And lest anyone forget, every team makes the SEC tournament...LSU could pull off a miracle and win the tournament and make the NCAAs...

I am just going to say, when Cade starts, people complain about him behind the plate...when Omar starts, people complain about him. Apparently neither of our catchers are worth a darn, unless they hit 4 home runs in a game, then people love them.
It was not. Her score was 9.235 or similar versus the OU fall that was a 9.05
We already are! Cowan and Evans and Guidry were all relievers last year. The loss of Moore and the absence of Anderson and Eyanson is glaringly obvious in this year.
What I saw, we start on floor and end on beam. I HATE that rotation but we won in 2024 with that.

They just better be FAIR in judging...none of this save the highest scores for the last competitors bullshite that happened yesterday. Kiera Wells' vault was NOT better than Chio or Lincoln...but she scored higher. Jordan Chiles got the score she got because of her name because she totally slid on her first landing but did not get counted off...Chio should have won floor also.
Let's not forget, LSU was still playing in Omaha when a lot of coaches were hitting the portal hard. Jay was busy coaching his team to a title and not as able to recruit portal guys. Happened in 2023 also, hence the down 2024.
His defense might be on point but a .266 batting average is not anything to brag about. He should be a leader on this team with his experience but he doesn't seem to be.

re: 3 Ks with bases loaded?

My comment last night is they are so focused on getting the next grand slam, they are swinging poorly. It doesn't take much to drive in a run with the bases loaded and none out...whereas we walked 2 guys with them loaded...and then had an error to allow 2 more runs to score.

Lachenmeier has come in 2 games and promptly hit the batter...and got pulled. Rizy came in, was 0-2 on the batter before hitting him, then walking 2 more batters. You can deal with the triple and the single before those but gifts need to be not given...and when given gifts, take advantage (like everyone else seems to).

Jay is sometimes too quick to pull some pitchers but leaves others in too long.
Jay Johnson is not on this board and does not care what all the couch coaches think. He is going to start Yorke if he starts Yorke. I find that Yorke is all or nothing. He didn't hit this weekend and yes, had the error Sunday but so did Milam and there was a 3rd error that inning leading to the 5 unearned runs. So despite his error, LSU still had chances to get out of the inning and failed.

Point is, Yorke is likely going to continue to start so deal with it. Much like Jordan and Braswell, hopefully, he will come through it.
Let's not forget, these slow motion reviews of the play that "prove" it was a strike are not what the idiot behind the plate saw. Strike 2 was low, strike 3 was lower. Idiot did not call it immediately. We do not get this kind of "home-cooking" at home. TV announcers even seemed to agree it was a crap call and they were all up the Tennessee butts.

Nick got more in...lol
I was also watching the ball leave the yard, not the bat flip. It was a bit ridiculous and Jay may have made light of it postgame but I am betting he said something to Seth after the game. Man, don't do that...we can't afford to have you ejected for stupidity.
No clue. I did find it strange that he never played...Serna has definitely been better offensively. Both have struggled defensively.
John is doing a decent job at third (the one game at first was a failure for him) but I don't know why he is playing so far in on some of the plays. I have seen several balls get by third that if he played at normal depth, he has a shot at...unless he doesn't have the arm for the long throw.
Article in the Advocate today about the series...

Arambidie "was not listed on LSU’s availability report heading into this weekend’s series or during it. Johnson also confirmed on Friday that he was healthy."
Please advise who you want to play first in his place. JP proved to be a failure when he tried. No one else has been given a chance.

Baseball is also $75 for paper tickets. I like having my book of tickets and use the digital for entry. The main reason I get paper (well this year) is I LIKE having the physical parking pass. I have every pass since 1997. I like to look at the change in the pass over the years.
