re: 3 Ks with bases loaded?
Posted by kellyval99 on 4/8/26 at 10:54 am to Safety Blitz
My comment last night is they are so focused on getting the next grand slam, they are swinging poorly. It doesn't take much to drive in a run with the bases loaded and none out...whereas we walked 2 guys with them loaded...and then had an error to allow 2 more runs to score.
Lachenmeier has come in 2 games and promptly hit the batter...and got pulled. Rizy came in, was 0-2 on the batter before hitting him, then walking 2 more batters. You can deal with the triple and the single before those but gifts need to be not given...and when given gifts, take advantage (like everyone else seems to).
Jay is sometimes too quick to pull some pitchers but leaves others in too long.

re: Should Yorke start another game this season?
Posted by kellyval99 on 4/7/26 at 9:00 am to Meatball
Jay Johnson is not on this board and does not care what all the couch coaches think. He is going to start Yorke if he starts Yorke. I find that Yorke is all or nothing. He didn't hit this weekend and yes, had the error Sunday but so did Milam and there was a 3rd error that inning leading to the 5 unearned runs. So despite his error, LSU still had chances to get out of the inning and failed.
Point is, Yorke is likely going to continue to start so deal with it. Much like Jordan and Braswell, hopefully, he will come through it.

re: Better angle of the Arambide strike 3 call
Posted by kellyval99 on 4/7/26 at 8:57 am to LSBoosie
Let's not forget, these slow motion reviews of the play that "prove" it was a strike are not what the idiot behind the plate saw. Strike 2 was low, strike 3 was lower. Idiot did not call it immediately. We do not get this kind of "home-cooking" at home. TV announcers even seemed to agree it was a crap call and they were all up the Tennessee butts.

re: Seth Dardar bat flip Hall of Fame GIF
Posted by kellyval99 on 3/30/26 at 10:54 am to Jack Crevalle
I was also watching the ball leave the yard, not the bat flip. It was a bit ridiculous and Jay may have made light of it postgame but I am betting he said something to Seth after the game. Man, don't do that...we can't afford to have you ejected for stupidity.
re: Has Jay given any insight on Arrambide?
Posted by kellyval99 on 3/30/26 at 10:45 am to Tifway419
No clue. I did find it strange that he never played...Serna has definitely been better offensively. Both have struggled defensively.
re: Biggest moment of the weekend was not the Dardar home run
Posted by kellyval99 on 3/30/26 at 10:41 am to LSUtoBOOT
John is doing a decent job at third (the one game at first was a failure for him) but I don't know why he is playing so far in on some of the plays. I have seen several balls get by third that if he played at normal depth, he has a shot at...unless he doesn't have the arm for the long throw.

Article in the Advocate today about the series...
Arambidie "was not listed on LSU’s availability report heading into this weekend’s series or during it. Johnson also confirmed on Friday that he was healthy."

re: Why is it so hard for JJ to bench Yorke! The guy is not good.

Please advise who you want to play first in his place. JP proved to be a failure when he tried. No one else has been given a chance.

re: Renewing Football Tix - Printed Tix now cost $75?
Posted by kellyval99 on 2/27/26 at 4:01 pm to Giantkiller
Baseball is also $75 for paper tickets. I like having my book of tickets and use the digital for entry. The main reason I get paper (well this year) is I LIKE having the physical parking pass. I have every pass since 1997. I like to look at the change in the pass over the years.

I am fine with game 1 being at 2 pm. I will take off...my bosses know me. I will not however, take off for random Monday or Wednesday midday games. Why not schedule one of those for Tuesday when people may be off work for Mardi Gras?

I have always liked the grey pinstripes the best but they haven't worn those in a few years.
re: LSU baseball is not playing a single regular season game in the state of Texas?
Posted by kellyval99 on 1/26/26 at 11:11 am to turnpiketiger
We played TEN in the state of Texas last year. We played a 3 game tournament, a mid week and then series at both Texas and A&M. We also played Oklahoma for a 3 game series in Norman, OK.

I am been trying to find out about this. Thanks. Not happy because I didn't go last Sunday, thinking they would have another game but Opener is less than 100 days away.

re: Baseball Season Ticket List
Posted by kellyval99 on 10/2/25 at 1:22 pm to LurkerTooLong
They call it Tradition Fund for baseball. I am one of the lowest rung TAF point persons but I have had baseball season tickets since 1996 (when I graduated from LSU). I received no priority when we moved stadiums because I had no TAF...Sadly, you don't get points for having graduated or paid tuition or I would have some.
re: Are parking passes for LSU football on the ticket apps legit?

The one I bought maybe last year on SG was mailed to me. You have to have a physical pass
