FIFY

Guy brings as much genuine energy and passion to the booth as a nursing home resident. He hasn't been a fit from the start, but the narrative was "give him a chance to become a fan". It's been almost 10 years and he's still putting out the same milquetoast product.

Seems like a nice guy, and does a decent professional job but having someone who's not even an LSU fan as the voice of the tigers doesn't work.

I will be the contrarian here. I have the television muted and am listening to the radio. I like listening to Blair.

I can remember when I was the only one here who liked Jim Hawthorn.

The only way I can listen to a game without wanting to blowing my brains out is if Bill is on the color.

I’ll go several minutes without hearing what inning we’re in on the score. He sounds depressed any time the other team does something good, which I think genuinely makes me madder when something negative happens.

He's horrible.

Hawthorne made some mistakes, but he was great. I'd love to still have him.

Some? When they started broadcasting every game, people started to notice how bad he was. Calling curveballs in the die fastballs inside. Saying an infield fly was going to the track. Getting names wrong constantly. It was so bad. People just had no clue.

I’m really not a fan of him calling anything.

Touchdown Tigers. (After every TD)

There are many different ways to describe a TD.

I can't stomach LSU Football broadcasts with him, in between TD Tigers, Oral Commercial in between every GD play and all the annoying PIM/DJ wretched excess crape blasting in the background.

I've listened to lots of games on XM while traveling and have turned to the opposing teams broadcast at times from frustration listening to that non descriptive bore.

He is infamous for not giving the most important things during an audio broadcast: how many outs, the inning, the score, the count.

I agree. I like the guy but calling baseball games is not his thing.

My problem is he rarely mentions what inning they are in. He’ll close out the inning with the score but fail to mention the inning they’re in!
