The oline is at a huge disadvantage in that drill so I’m not going to be discouraged with them
It would be ideal if the core of every LSU baseball team included the best players in the country. No one denies that.

We just aren’t there this year. And we won’t be every year. Even the best don’t evaluate every player correctly.

As an evaluator, you have to give yourself as many chances as possible to evaluate players.

There has been an over correction when it comes to how much teams rely on the portal. Great high school recruits who are in the program for 2-4 years should still be the core of your roster.
An exaggerated valuation of the transfer portal. Especially in football. The core of every LSU football team should be high school players recruited from Louisiana and Texas. Select Florida, Georgia, and MS recruits as well.
To be fair this pitcher has some nasty stuff
Fields isn’t a great passer from the pocket. At this stage of his career, I don’t see Nuss being a good pocket passer at the pro level either. Fields can be a dynamic runner. Nuss doesn’t have that. Fields is the only backup QB on the roster who can maybe do something better than Mahomes. Fields is currently a better football player.
Fields is a better football player than Nuss. They both have the same weakness: lacking Football IQ and the ability to perform under pressure. Arm is more or less equal. Fields can be dynamic running the football. Fields has a skillset that Mahomes doesn’t have. Nuss has no skill sets Mahomes doesn’t have.
If Nuss ends up having a career like Chad Henne, he will have truly maximized his talents. People forget that Chad Henne was a 5 star, top 10 recruit out of a Pennsylvania high school. 4 year starter, started from the moment he got on campus. Michigan record holder in all significant passing stats. 15 year NFL career. Started for around 3 full seasons. 2x Super Bowl champ and he had a significant on-field contribution to one of them. Known for his toughness. Henne could ball.
Career backup QB ain’t a bad gig.
Definitely didn’t have that on my bingo card

Over the last 10 years, the chiefs have drafted corners better than anyone. Marcus Peters, Trent McDuffie, charvaris Ward, Snead. Nice spot for Delane to land.
That maybe we should stop with all the damn shifting? I mean seriously.
It has nothing to do with black or white. Quay Walker is 6’4” 240 and ran a 4.52. Simmons is 6’4” 240 and ran a 4.39. Those are combine measurements. Weeks is listed at 6’2” 225 on LSU’s website. And there’s no way he’s running in the 4.4s. Whit is not an elite athlete like those dudes.
No doubt. That’s a pretty good comparison. I think it’s possible Weeks does have a great year. But with him coming off an injury plagued year and obvious questions about how he would test out in a combine setting, to predict him to be a first round draft pick is a little ridiculous in my opinion.
Weeks will need a great season to be picked on day 2. He needs to prove that he can be a consistent pass rusher because he isn’t going to cover anyone elite in space.
Also if you asked the entire country, I imagine Bill Belichick would be a popular choice.
Came here specifically to throw Dabo’s hat in the ring

Banks will actually stick at LT. Saints really did a nice job with the draft last year.
The Rashan Gary comp is a good one. Trey Smith and Lamar aren’t the same player. Smith is more powerful, but Lamar is much, much quicker. Lamar likely ends up on defense I would guess.
