He's a football coach not a mentality

He’s from Pembroke Pines, FL (Miami)—he’s probably never hunted a day in his life man. He’s a city/NFL guy

Do YOU want more out of life than you currently have? If so, you understand Brady quite well, because there are people in the world who think half of what you have is more than they can imagine.

To YOU, that is a good fulfilling life. Just personally, I don't hunt, I don't fish, and I don't really like other people paying for my shite. Don't think I'd be satisfied with the connection of a 21 year old as a 30+ year old man, either

Agree.

And besides do you really want the OC to be thinking about free hunting trips and banging coeds?????

I want the OC to be a football junkie who thinks of nothing else during the season.

I wish we could have had him for 3 years, but it’s all about the market. Look how fast some of these coaches can go from the hottest name in sports to just another guy. He had to take this opportunity. I’m definitely sad to see him go, though.

Then you're a fricking idiot.

Why? Because I want to live fulfilling life? Jesus dude, get some help. Oh I see your username, that explains it all

No you are an idiot for thinking your idea of a fulfilling life is universal and can’t understand that others may have a different idea of what fulfillment is.

If you don’t like recruiting the college coach life would be miserable.

Do you want to talk on the phone with 16-18 year olds all day just in order to keep your job? No thanks as far as I’m concerned

People that are great at things relentlessly grind away and chase greatness. It's what they do and it's a switch that can't be turned off. Being the LSU Co-OC is not the pinnacle of greatness and it's not even close. It's not that difficult at all to understand.

I don't think my opinion is "universal". Never came close to saying that. if you're gonna give me shite, at be honest about it.

Admitted, it may be just me and how I was brought up, but making a couple million a year as an LSU coach, a successful program in large part because of my role, people offering me big deer hunts, turkey hunts, and fishing trips at high dollar camps, never buying a dinner at a BR restaurant, I'd stay in that until I died. I'd be happy. and the occasional co-ed to roll around with only makes it better.

I just don't get why some people always want so much more than something that would be such a good, fulfilling life.

Of course you don’t understand it. Because you just described what, in your mind, is the penultimate coonass’s wet dream. But some people want more and different things than you do. And they are willing to leave what you think is the end all be all to pursue it. If you were as motivated to achieve what Brady apparently wants, you’d understand it. But that’s why you aren’t him.

Why would anyone leave...

why would Burrow leave a spot on his hometown Ohio State program, where he'd never have to want for a job after college, and with his mind would likely be on the coaching staff in a couple of years? And maybe by 30 be an OC at the big level, or maybe running a MAC program; in other words as good or better than his dad ever got.

Burrow wanted more, and took his shot. Brady wants more, and is taking his shot.

re: Brady is a mentality I don't understand

You're obviously retarded, as I never "passed judgment". I simply said I don't understand the mentality. Two very different things.

Your thread is framing Brady's choice as one that does not lead to a "happy and fulfilling life."

Yes, that is passing judgement, not only that...

quote:

Don't make assumptions buddy. I wouldn't trade my life with yours in a second. At some point I was able to work myself to a point where I could say "you know, this is gonna be a good happy run till the end, I'm gonna enjoy it".

Could there have been "more"? Sure, but I'm pretty damn happy with how it's worked out so far. and I be you'd be too.

You are automatically assuming that your choices are correct and that no one else has just as a fulfilling life as you.

This thread is extremely judgemental of others, including the man who just played one of the biggest roles in the LSU NC.

When people talk about LSU having the worst fans in CFB, they can use the OP as a prime example.

Cant blame him from jumping at the opportunity. He had the best qb in CB history, 3 1st round wr and the best online in the nation to work with.

Odds are he wont be as productive next year. If he fails in the nfl, he would still be hired quickly as a college oc.
