I know it's a bit of recency bias but Burrow dropping a dime to Chase for the first score vs. Clemson was huge. Clemson's gameplan up until then was working and a little worrisome but that play settled everything down.

I think I remember Herbstreit after the game saying that's when you knew Clemson might be in trouble...their best guy on our best guy and really not having a chance in hell of defending that play

Totally agree. LSU football needed some discipline and for a lot of the lost process to be re-operationalized.

That contract, though :dope:

LSU won the CWS finals using only 3 pitchers.

When the Tigers pulled off the 9th inning vs Arkie my son said “no way CC beats this team in rotation in a 3 game series”

he woulda lost 5

Woulda, coulda, shoulda.

What he actually did, non-hypothetically, was win 77% of his games, a nc and a couple of SEC titles. Plus he won 60+ SEC games which all the more remarkable given there were years when the division was the toughest slate in all of college football.

If BK manages to do that over the next decade, there will be people screaming to build a statue.

Ditto. I mean, I get a little creeped out when people throw cigs out of moving cars at night. But dogpiles? Doesn't bring back any memories at all.

Shouldn't be. I hate that the Miles haters put me in a position where I'm defending the guy so vociferously. I was at the Lambeau game and I thought then that he needed to go...soon. So I was never pissed that Miles got fired.

But he had a spectacular tenure at LSU. It's kinda nuts how many LSU fans talk about him like they talk about Hallman.

BK has a long way to go before anyone gets to compare him to Miles

You know Miles recruited about a dozen of the starters who played on the 2019 team, right?

anyone previously coached by that douchebag Schnall would likely be a cancer at LSU.

That would depend on whether or not the player had bought into Schnall's bullshite or not.
Todd Walker.

When anything was on the line, dude came through. Always.

Big fan of Laxton's as well. Dude was an amazing freshman and absolutely demolished a strong WS team with his fastball.

Not sure why you guys comment when you have no clue about him

Malevolent psycho. That was the claim. I was honestly asking what people know about him that would put him in that category. Being an a-hole is one thing-you can see from his behavior that he's an a-hole. (Karen and her husband are as well, IMO).

But extraordinary claims demand specific examples. I've sat within 15 rows of Sanchez. If he's an actual psychotic, I'm dying to to get a clue as you say.

Really? What did I miss? I mean, looks like a typical dipshit fanatic which pretty much describes the majority TD. He’s just on tv al lot

HC needs to be voice of reason in thar situation.

This. If you want to fire the kids up, let the 1st base coach get run.

But that's not how Schnall is wired. Every encounter is a bar fight. Consequences be damned.
LSU won before there was a transfer portal. LSU wins with the transfer portal. And the Tigers boast quite a bit of homegrown, developed talent.

If CC isn't capitalizing on their success the past decade and pulling in players then that's what we call a 'you problem'.

Or most of the kids who meet Schnall come away thinking he's a frickhead.

I listened to it earlier and Rick N argued it was USC

That's like saying Minnesota is the greatest ever in CFB because of all the great teams they had in the 30's and 40's.

USC won a lot at a time when there were no more than a few viable programs. On Sat night, LSU was in a dogfight with Coastal fricking Carolina, a mid-major who boasts a couple of draft picks in their starting rotation and a slew of D1 caliber specialty relievers.

USC had to beat Delaware and Dartmouth out of the loser's bracket in 1970.

USC of yesteryear is quaint. LSU is a legitimate powerhouse in the sport.

They were comparable to a lower tier sec team, with maybe 1 additional good pitcher.

I mean, they travelled to the plains for the super and swept a higher seeded Auburn team.

I don’t understand this need to diminish a team that was in the championship at the CWS. Especially given the G1 result vs a really, really good lsu team

Your neighbor sounds like a guy who doesn't know much about collegiate athletics
Looks like she hit it kinda hard for the early start. Might need to start drinking some Gatorade

Wow…what a likeable guy. He won’t last long on this staff acting so appropriately

how is it possible we scored 5 runs on this guy in 3.2 if his ERA is 2.0?????

As soon as you explain how lsu could only score a run on a guy who had a 3.8 last night?
