For me it was the 1973 Sugar Bowl. Alabama and Notre Dame in Tulane Stadium.
Notre Dame had third down and eight yards to go from their own three yard line with under three minutes left to play. Tom Clements completed a 35 yard pass to Robin Weber to seal a 24-23 victory and undefeated season.
Alabama claims the national championship.

I moved to Arkansas for 9 months in 1981. That year Billy Ray Smith demolished Texas. Most dominant game I ever saw for a defensive player. I was not at the game but watched it at a local bar.

We were at a bar in uptown Dallas and I’ve never seen a true 50/50 split crowd at a bar that night.
It was insane in the 4th quarter and there were about 3 fights simultaneously when he caught that.
People forget a few plays earlier the Texas S Blake Gideon dropped a bread basket right between the numbers interception. He’s never lived that down.
Felt like a mosh pit. I miss those days
