1988 Catholics vs Convicts. Turnovers and bad officiating notwithstanding.

Best probably the USC/ Texas natty in 2005
BUT, one of the most entertaining games ive ever watched has been playing on ESPNU the last couple of days. They are playing games from last year.
It was the FCS national championship between Illinois St. and Montana St. It was a close, competitive game all the way through but the last 5 minutes were absolutely BONKERS!
If you have a chance try to find it and if you dont watch the whole thing, at least watch the last 5 minutes.

I think it was 2000 Evangel vs West Monroe in the state championship. The game where WM went for 2 at the end of the game and didn’t get it.

1972 Bama Vs Auburn. Auburn blocked two punts ( both by Bill Newton) and both returned for TD ( by David Langer) to win 17-16. In Alabama called Punt Bama Punt Game

Best attended. 1977 Ole Miss vs Notre Dame in Jackson. Ole Miss dominated the game but only won 20-13. ND was loaded Joe Montana, Ross Browner, Vegas Fergason, among others. 15 players from ND went on to play in the NFL. Their only loss of the season and they went on to win the national title. I still have the program from the game. Same year LSU was down to Ole Miss by 21 in Jackson and game back to win 28-21. Ensminger and Charles Alexander went off. Best game not attended would be like many here have listed, OU vs. Boise.

1: TTU vs OU in Lubbock November 15, 2014. P. Mahomes second start as a Freshman. TTU leads 24-21 1 minute into the 4th quarter. OU then just goes to the run and wins. PM passed for 400 yards that game. Was fun to attend.
1A: La. Tech vs Mississippi Valley State November 24, 1984. FCS first round playoff game on a beautiful afternoon in Ruston. Tech wins 66-19. My friends and I went to that game just to see Jerry Rice and that offense (they’d stack 4-5 WRs on some plays). Tech’s DB punished Rice the whole game, intercepted MVS QB like 5-6X, and ran the ball down their throats the whole game. Tech was the underdog but took that game personally.
Edit: Honorable mention: Mississippi State vs Navy (early 80’s) in Jackson MS. At the end of the National Anthem, 4 F-14 Tomcats buzz the stadium about 50-100ft above the lights in full afterburners (you could see the flame out the exhaust). I couldn’t hear a thing for about 10 minutes.

Alabama vs Georgia in Tuscaloosa. Trump was there. Ryan Williams made one of the best catches and runs I have ever seen in person
