Looks like PPSA is writing Benchuary this year. Should be good.

I didn't like the programming for it last year, so I skipped it.
I would be interested this year, but I'm about 2 days from finishing Benchamin franklin. I was gonna FOTH next, but I may jump in for benchuary if there is a squatober vibe to it. Love the vibes in that thread where everyone is working out together.

I wasn't a fan of the programming last year either. I started the year on a mountain dog program but may pause it to give benchuary a shot if, like you say, it's similar to squatober.

Is benchuary the same as Squatober, bench everyday? And they post them on insta?

I don't think the guy last year programmed bench every day, but I'd assume he will. I'm sure it'll be posted the same as squatober. Hopefully someone here posts them, I don't do facebook, instagram etc.

It was bench MWF with legs mixed in. But Tues/Thurs was back and always had a bunch of pull-ups.

I loved it, have run it twice, I was just a solid machine after doing it. Sadly got some tennis elbow from going too heavy on the reverse curls that had my wrists breaking form. Dumb. It is really long, and when you get to the cardio you feel almost done… just like 200 reps to go. ??

I am on round 2 of DB Strength and have really enjoyed it. I love the format of upper push upper pull with some form of legs every day.
Looking to get back to the barbell with Grasshopper and then Arm Farm (I’ve seen so much praise for Arm Farm on this thread, excited to get there in the spring)

Back on Garlic Milkshake.
Anyone ever use Smith machine for Bulgarians? I’m terrible at these (can’t balance) but using smith as a “cheat code” has helped a ton.
This is one of the best exercises to blow up legs IMO. Understand I’m not getting full benefit from working “stabilizers” or whatever by doing it free weight but don’t really care - legs so sore.

Thoughts on STAGM? I bought this plan last year but still haven't ran it

Im running it now. I like it a lot. Was very conservative on my training max. So I'll probably rerun it and go up a decent amount. First time ive done Bulgarians, and yeah, my balance sucks, too. I use a db, and support myself with the other hand.

I’m halfway through Welcome to Strongville and really liking it.
The “staircase” is fun and carries every workout is a nice bonus.

Just finished garlic milkshake. I liked the 3 day plan and full body aspect of it. Keep trying the Bulgarians you’ll get used to the balance. Just go slow and light weight until you get it. I used to hate them. Now I look forward to them. All in all I really enjoyed garlic

I’m looking for some guidance on which plans are more time-consuming vs which are more streamlined? Or even just about how long it took you to finish an average workout from any given program? I love the style but sometimes really get stuck at the gym forever.

Strongville is about 90 minutes. I think pool party was around 60 if I remember correctly

Right now he is programming Benchuary. 2 weeks in and if I've had a workout over 55 minutes its been because I walked on a treadmill for 20 for cardio.
I ran FOTH and Oak Tree Remastered. Both of these usually, but not always took me over 1 hour to complete probably 90 minutes on some days depending on how much I rested between sets.

Hey guys. I Recently got into PPSA and I’m doing Benchamin part 1 but now my wife is interested in a dumbbell program. Would you start her with 1 or 2? For those who have done both, which would you say is more geared towards women? Her setup includes power blocks and an adjustable bench. Thanks.

Dumbbell strength is one of the harder programs if you keep track of weights and really push yourself. I'd do 1 then when I got tired of repeating it do 2.
//Edit I haven't run it completely but when I have travel and have to lift in hotels I have run it for a week at a time and it's pretty solid

Haven’t done 2 but the first one is great. My 13 year old is on his 3rd time through and really progressing and getting stronger

Thanks guys. I’m going to get her started with 1 and go from there.
Now For myself. Im more focused on upper body strength right now. How would yall rank these on which to try next. Arm farm, FOTH, and elbow meat?
