I planned on skipping this one this year but now that I see it'll have lower body training included im intrigued
I run Oak Tree by Pen and Paper Strength App multiple times a year usually. You can run it as a 3,4,5 or 6 day split. Although with the intensity on percentages I would recommend as a 4 day max IMO.

Hits the big lifts every day, lot of solid accessory work and carries. You will put on muscle and strength on this plan

Its arguably the best PPSA program for size and strength. Its pretty brutal and can take 75 mins if not longer most days.

Yea that is a wild statement hahah I did anabolic fasting back in 2020 and lost 15 lbs of fat in like 4-5 weeks worked great in a pinch + cutting alcohol 100%.

He swears by the lunging for over 10 years so I figured someone out there had maybe done it for an extended period too. Gonna give it a go regardless to see how I do with it

Curious if anyone has done the Cory G Fitness lunge everyday protocol for their conditioning? I have a hard time jogging or doing extended steady cardio I'd rather crush the assaultbike for 5-10 minutes and call it a day. but interested in this lunge protocol.

What is the everyone's favorite to back to back stack of PPSA programs? I've seen people recommend FOTH 1 & 2 but those are too light on lower body for me, my legs shrink up quick haha. Pool season 1 & 2 too obviously but any others you guys like to run back to back?

I have it it is a selection of KB only, DB only, lower, upper push, upper pull, arm only, and total body lifts. I think there is about 3 for each group. I am also expecting a kid this month so I will be utilizing it I am sure!

How are you liking this one? I think this is one of the only plans I have not ran yet.

What is everyone who did Squatober running this month? I am doing 1 DB only, 1 KB Only and 1 Full Body lift from the Strength on the Go plan this week, might do an arm only day as well. Plan on starting one of the regular programs back up next week after this quick reset.
Congrats everyone hitting some great maxes and PRs!!

I hit 355 solo after doing a 315 TM all month. I definitley feel like 365 was attainable but since I was alone with no spot I did not push it past that. Great month!! My weak point is definitley low back my legs had more in them no doubt so I will be working to strengthen that this year
I will probaly run Arm Farm or FIlling Out the Hoodie. Something more upper focused for a few weeks
Following. I like his videos and have looked over this and SS but never tried it out
Good stuff.

I got 13 sets on the pressure cooker this week compared to 9 last week. I really emptied the tank on this and only got 5 sets of lunges. I am definitely feeling it today and my HRV was way down last night so I definitely could use some recovery lol but we press on!
What is everyone doing for warm ups for Squatober? Today is the first day that has an actual warm up of some type.

I have been doing dynamic skips, kicks, and some of our old college football weightroom warmup, T-spine and body weight movements. I can't just roll into the big movements cold like AA seems to do haha
I did a lot of football watching and couch lounging this weekend instead of hitting some long walks. Feeling a little stiff going into a Monday is not ideal lol but I do feel recovered.. Lets hit it hard this week fellas!!
I know we are still early, but this has been by far my favorite programming so far for a Squatober. Love the variation of squats this year.
Joining the thread over from the main PPSA thread. This will be my 3rd squatober since 2018 and expecting my first kid in November, looking forward to the journey with yall!
Congrats on the baby I am expecting my first in November so I will be right behind you. Will take all the dad training tips you have lol..

I did not purchase this years squatober prep I just noticed the squat variations through the PPSA IG reposts and screenshots. I am debating on using my last full month childless doing Squatober or another program.

Anyone in here doing Squatober this year? I noticed Zerchers and RFESS programmed a decent bit in the prep plan. I wonder if that is just general GPP for the month or if AA will incorporate other squat variations this year.

Highly recommend Oak Tree for this reason. Whether you hit 2 or hit 5 lifts in a week you'll still feel good on this program. Straight meat and potatoes every day
Aaron just dropped a new plan on his website. "Strength on the Go" has DB only days, KB only days, Upper Pull/Upper Push/Total Body , Etc. Honestly perfect for someone who is a dad or travels a lot like I do with my job these days. Went ahead and bought it for when I am stuck in a hotel or only able to train 1-2 days in a week.
halfway through Summer Stacked enjoying the switch up to a PPL. Intense yet not quite as taxing as his usual full body approach imo. Will hit legs or back super hard yet feel pretty refreshed the next day with less CNS fatigue than some of his other programs.
Skipping the last 4 days of Sport Strength get right into Summer Stacked. 32 days of Sport Strength highly recommend that program.

Update: I am on day 22 of 36 for the Sport Strength program. It has felt awesome incorporating Cleans and snatches back into my routine after running the traditional PPSA programs for 6-7 years. I was worried due to CNS fatigue of these lifts upfront and slightly lower volume on the big main compounds that I would suffer strength or size loss but that has not happened at all.

Two things I have noticed that have stood out already: My power has increased greatly in a short amount of time on this program. I noticed this mainly from my golf swing, I am crushing the driver and feel much more powerful and just feel overall more athletic. I also feel 10x better than I did compared to Day 1 in the conditioning, (had been a long time since I had done any sprinting)

Secondly, I forgot how doing cleans and snatches blow up my upper back/traps. My traps are noticeably more full in just a few weeks.

So far have enjoyed it greatly and recommend for anyone trying to add explosive power lifts and true conditioning back into their routine. Also has some varied lifts you typically do not get in other PPSA programs (DB Lateral lunges, BB complexes, BB RFESS, etc)
All these years of weighted pull ups finally caught up with me yesterday lol. Have a strain in my lat/teres major on Day 1 of sport strength yesterday, felt it during weighted pull ups and then it strained pretty good during heavy RDL. Gonna take it easy on the rows/pulls rest of this week and have my PT buddy doing dry needling. If anyone has any experience with a strain in this area let me know! First time dealing with a minor injury in awhile but still frustrating

Starting Day 1 of Sport Strength today. Anyone out there ran this program yet? Excited to add field conditioning/ sprints and some olympic lifts back in.
I bought it when it was released but I dont think I ever actually ran it yet. Appreciate the recommendation I will consider it this summer! I plan on starting Sport Strength next week and that will be my next 9-10 weeks. I havent seen really any posts about this one so I will keep you all updated on how it is.

From a purely getting stronger perspective, Oak Tree might take the cake as my favorite PPSA program I have done so far. If you approach it with intent on getting stronger it is great. I have definitley put on size in the 5 weeks doing it too. I have run it as both a 4 day and 3 day split depending on my travel schedule for work and seen great results both ways. You get up in the 90s in percentage for squat, bench, and DL so I would use this program as a way to maybe go for a new max and peaking strength if you are in that mode currently. Super strong and solid program!

Mass that Lasts is set up a little differently than most of the PPSA programs and I enjoyed the varying intensity based on the day. Monday and Thursdays you hit all of the big compound lifts and thats basically it. Tuesday and Friday you hit all the accessory movements in form of super sets and get a great pump. There is also 2 deload days in Mass that Lasts I dont think have seen that in a PPSA program. This one is worked best as a traditional 4 day split. I really enjoy both and will add both to my rotation now. Hope that helps
