You can’t commit to once a week?

Do it first thing in am before getting dressed.
Yes you’ll retain water. Carbs = Glucose which is converted to glycogen. For every gram of glycogen, your body will hang onto 3 grams of water. This is why you see the scale move so fast when doing keto or carnivore.

I assume this is what your asking…?

I wish someone made a higher concentration creatine for this reason.

Can you truly change and reshape your body in your 50's?b
I did a 180 on my body & health in my 40s so you can do it in your 50s. Just gotta get started and make yourself do it every day. Tell yourself no excuses or bullshite and just get it done one day at a time.

Getting your testosterone optimized would 100% help you with the drive you are currently lacking. It did for me.

This alone should scare the shite out of you. Diabetes is bad news all around and you should get your A1C within range asap. Trust me. I deal with those patients every day and see the damage it does.

10k steps a day
Count calories
1g protein per lb of desired weight
Limit diet to meat, veggies, eggs, fruits, Greek yogurt, and high protein snacks. You’ll see results in no time and that will give you the want to keep going.
So I had some down time at work and was curious. I ordered the same set of labs using Ulta, which is similar to marek. $331 compared to the $84 I paid. So I’d say the membership is definitely worth it.

I didn't know you were able to purchase labs without being a member. I guess those are full price and prob comparable to other sites. But yeah, the “insiders” price is very cheap.

So it looks like the subscription doesnt actually come with any specific labs. it allows you to pick whatever labs you want and they all have their own price in addition to the subscription, correct?
The subscription only gives you the opportunity to buy labs with them. It is a la carte but the prices are crazy cheap compared to sites like marek.

Here is an example of my most recent order

what's the appeal of the subscription?
Order those same labs I posted above with marek. I’d be willing to get its $300 or close to it.

I've never used my HSA for anything. I added money to it, and it just sits there, mostly invested, so it is getting a return/dividend

That’s what I did too. Until 3 kid’s medical bills got really expensive  It’s slowly creeping back up.

ouch. I usually do CMP, CBC, lipids, Lipo(a), Test, sensitive E2, IGF, and PSA for under $100 with Fitomics.

Uncle Jackd, do you know for sure how long a lab requisition is good for?
180 days is correct. You can order multiple sets when there is a sale going on too. Just make sure it’s different transactions so it’s a separate req form.

I think you’d be find doing your plan. I don’t THINK you’d need to be an active member to use the pre purchased req form…

I just do the $75/3 month subscription. For me it’s well worth it because I draw labs every 3-4 months. It’s prob excessive but I like the peace of mind since I’m usually toying around with different peptides and protocols. My labs last week were my best yet, I was stoked.

re: Going to concerts is overrated

It was cool before tickets were $200 and beers were $20. frick all that now
I’ve used similar websites and have had no issues using my HSA. Ulta and Fitomics are the two I’ve used.

What is yall rest time on non compound movements? Machines, curls, cables
Thought about you this Am, Bub. Sorry, I was just in the zone. :dude: :dude:

Usually around 90 mins here. 5 min incline walk to warm up, 60-70 min of lifting, 15-20 min of cardio (if I’m feeling spunky).

3-4 exercises per muscle group (PPL split) takes me a solid 70 min usually. That’s with a 2 min rest between sets. I’ll stay 2 hours if I’m off with nowhere to be.. it’s nice being away from chaos, work, and kids for a while.

You must not rest long between sets?

re: What y'all eating for lunch?

Posted by Uncle JackD on 4/17/25 at 1:52 pm
I keep it simple. I’ll do chicken thighs, ground turkey or beef, or fish as my protein. Usually 200-250g of each.

My carb is jasmine rice, sweet tator, or roasted brown potatoes. 100-150g of each.

If I have time I’ll toss in some broccoli, Brussels, or another green.

I Mix and match all those and repeat.

Snacks are Greek yogurt, boiled eggs, or cheese.
