You can’t commit to once a week?
Do it first thing in am before getting dressed.

re: What is the water retention per 1 gram of a carb and does your body retain that water?
Posted by Uncle JackD on 4/25/25 at 8:17 am
Yes you’ll retain water. Carbs = Glucose which is converted to glycogen. For every gram of glycogen, your body will hang onto 3 grams of water. This is why you see the scale move so fast when doing keto or carnivore.
I assume this is what your asking…?

I wish someone made a higher concentration creatine for this reason.

Getting your testosterone optimized would 100% help you with the drive you are currently lacking. It did for me.

Count calories

Limit diet to meat, veggies, eggs, fruits, Greek yogurt, and high protein snacks. You’ll see results in no time and that will give you the want to keep going.
re: Marek/Function Health - FSA/HSA eligibility

So I had some down time at work and was curious. I ordered the same set of labs using Ulta, which is similar to marek. $331 compared to the $84 I paid. So I’d say the membership is definitely worth it.

I didn't know you were able to purchase labs without being a member. I guess those are full price and prob comparable to other sites. But yeah, the “insiders” price is very cheap.

So it looks like the subscription doesnt actually come with any specific labs. it allows you to pick whatever labs you want and they all have their own price in addition to the subscription, correct?
Here is an example of my most recent order

what's the appeal of the subscription?

That’s what I did too. Until 3 kid’s medical bills got really expensive  It’s slowly creeping back up.

paid $765 out of pocket for the complete panel through Marek,

Uncle Jackd, do you know for sure how long a lab requisition is good for?
I think you’d be find doing your plan. I don’t THINK you’d need to be an active member to use the pre purchased req form…
I just do the $75/3 month subscription. For me it’s well worth it because I draw labs every 3-4 months. It’s prob excessive but I like the peace of mind since I’m usually toying around with different peptides and protocols. My labs last week were my best yet, I was stoked.

I’ve used similar websites and have had no issues using my HSA. Ulta and Fitomics are the two I’ve used.

Usually around 90 mins here. 5 min incline walk to warm up, 60-70 min of lifting, 15-20 min of cardio (if I’m feeling spunky).
3-4 exercises per muscle group (PPL split) takes me a solid 70 min usually. That’s with a 2 min rest between sets. I’ll stay 2 hours if I’m off with nowhere to be.. it’s nice being away from chaos, work, and kids for a while.
You must not rest long between sets?

re: What y'all eating for lunch?
Posted by Uncle JackD on 4/17/25 at 1:52 pm
I keep it simple. I’ll do chicken thighs, ground turkey or beef, or fish as my protein. Usually 200-250g of each.
My carb is jasmine rice, sweet tator, or roasted brown potatoes. 100-150g of each.
If I have time I’ll toss in some broccoli, Brussels, or another green.
I Mix and match all those and repeat.
Snacks are Greek yogurt, boiled eggs, or cheese.
