Which, if any, New Orleans Restaurants would warrant a Michelin Star?

Any deserve 2? 3?

Spinoff of another thread.

I'll start by suggesting August could get 1.

I don't think there are any 2 or 3 stars, but could be persuaded otherwise.

I am not all that familiar with their rating system and such, but I thought I read that they are big into a place having superb and formal service as much as they are about having good food.

I would think Stella and August get one star.

Used to be a big part of it. Seems sort of relaxed in recent years, with them recently falling over places like New York's Momofuku.

I think they'd like Cochon but not Galatoires, accordingly.

I guess none. Since none have any. Right?

The only restaurant that I think probably warrants one is Le Foret. One of the best meals I've ever had. Stella! is close and maybe does.

Tommy Fitz would have you believe there are many.

Stella, August, Le Foret in that order IMO.

I asked which ones would warrant one.

They don't currently rate New Orleans restaurants.

I haven't been to a restaurant that deserves one, IMO. August would be the closest.

Hence the question mark. I wasn't sure whether they rated and simply gave no stars in NOLA. Why don't they rate NOLA?

Wait there are entire cities that they just don't rate? That seems pretty shitty to me.

True. Las Vegas for instance.

You can tell michelin quality food just by plating. There are videos on YouTube that break down the difference in quality of a one, two and three starred chef/restaurant. The difference in a one and a three is mind blowing
