Are you saying, that's an attribute worthy of a Michelin star?

Mmmm, it could be a factor, no?

You're in way over your head Vor. Dogface Rhymes was my era. I studied her from afar, thank God, since her mid-pubecent jr Patsy Cline wannabe days all the way up through her anorexic ridden, parent suing, husband stealing, past her prime days of the present. At no point in between would I place a label on her that dared lead someone to believe she was attractive, much less hot. Except maybe if she was being compared to Nell Carter.

she's rich and blonde, and not 200 pounds, she's hot in my book.

Cool, I knew you had been to many more than I...I am only 32. I am doing what I can. I cannot and will not remotely believe that nola has one or two starred restaurants potentially. I have eaten at too mamy one star that were no lillettes, gautreaus, etc
I was going to lupa for cacio e pepe and some carbonara bc we crossed rome out in the spring in lieau milan, piedmont, barolo, etc. Any siggestions for that?

I was six jack on the rocks deep...I will admit...but I can still recall her braless self bouncing around as she sat next to us.

How many on here have actually been to several starred restaurants?
Looks like I have been to 9, if I include Peter Luger as a teenager (obviously they did not have a star then). The other 8 were all in Europe--so I think this could have some bearing on my thoughts....And mostly they were all VERY VERY impressive and more impressive than the fancy nola placs.
I'd be very curious myself as to how michelin would view new orleans.
As said before, the "michelin" name looks for something different than what your typical nola restaurant excels in. Just the physical time it likely took to plate everything at most of these restaurants is not something that occurs in the nola dining scene.
I had a meal at Peche that was better than what I had at a 3star place in Paris. But food is not the total end all of the experience as viewed by Michelin--i wouldnt expect Peche to receive a star even if they are consistently as good as my 1 meal there (so admittedly they might have just had 1 good day--although i have heard great consistent things)

For a one star it is more about the food itself. They received a lot of shite with the way they first took stock of spain. They have chamge a lot to accept changes in the gformal service and presentation.

Absolutely. Tim Ho Wan (Hong Kong) has one star and you can absolutely stuff yourself there for under $10. Best dim sum on the planet though.

I would assert Peche is precisely the type of place they seem to be looking to give one star to these days.

I would agree with that. In July I went to a restaurant in NYC that had just gotten its first star, and it was very Peche-like. Not in the style of cuisine they do but in atmosphere, service and quality. It was a bit more creative with their offerings but the food (each place has outstanding dishes) were on par.

I honestly think Michelin stars should be taken with a massive grain of salt. While they have some value, depending upon what you're looking for, I think some people, IMO, place too much value on the ratings.
Yo, Y.A. , this ain't part of my schtick.

Presuming the ability to read people's minds is 80% of it.

Agreed...if michelin is rating you...that usually means a very good restaurant...stars sell copies.
with that said eleven madison was on a different stratosphere...even from my joel roubichon experience.
Yes, YA. ..
peche, domenica, cochon, herbsaint would like get a star...when you roll with three james beards stars would follow.
