A good filet mignon is hard to beat, but I will say something that has always stuck with me is the lobster I had when we went to Maine. Nothing about it was chewy, and it melted in your mouth. I’ve yet to ever eat lobster that compares anywhere near to the one I had at some podunk restaurant off the highway in Maine.

A close second would be the Rueben sandwich I had in NYC. Don’t remember the name of the place, but it was a block or two from the bull on Wall Street.

A close third would be Turtle Soup from Commanders.

fried boudin balls from tony's in BR with a coke. Not that they are awesome but it was a hard work day and my boss surprised me with them. was a real pick me up.

A perfectly fried filet of a speckled trout that slept in the Gulf of Mexico within 12 hours of being cleaned, seasoned simply with cayenne and salt, cornmeal and thrown into the hot grease.

The old Johnson's in Eunice may have been better, but it closed years ago.

Then next time you’re in Lafayette, visit their location on St. John Street that opened a while back. You’re right. Delicious boudin. Maybe my favorite place for it.

Tie for me.

Waygu tomahawk Ribeye Reverse seared over hardwood coals with a final resting temp of 135.

Fresh caught striped bass basically grilled to 125 with a little Lemmon, dill, and cracked pepper.

I’ve been to the Los Angeles location just to try the spaghetti because I learned how to make it several years ago and have been making it ever since. It was just as good in the restaurant.

Conant is a talented dude.

For the thread - I have had so much awesome food it’s so hard to choose. However, Caesar salad is my favorite food item on the planet. I had one at Born and Raised in San Diego that they made tableside and I probably got more pleasure out of that than anything I’ve ever eaten.

I now make my own cae-sal at home just like this. I even microplane the parm. It’s actually very easy to make right.

I’ve never seen that in the menu. But honestly I also haven’t been to Neptune in a while. May have to go order that soon.

Fatty tuna in Japan. Ate it every chance I could over there. It’s like butter.
