What is something you like to cook on the griddle?

Every chance I get, I cook bacon, eggs, and hashbrowns on it.

Looking for other ideas to try though. Not necessarily breakfast. I did wings once and they came out good. Just need to find a way to make them a little crispier.

TIA

If are familiar with chicken a la grande from Mosca’s, I’ve found the only way to really get the high heat they get on their stoves is to use the griddle. Dear the chicken. On one side of griddle have a roasting pan with all the garlic, rosemary, wine etc. once good and brown transfer to roasting pan and finish In there.

Burgers. Shishito peppers, butterflied pork loin, tons of stuff

Cut a little chicken or cheap steak into those bowls and serve for $32.00 a piece. Nice work ! Glad you made your own, can't believe people pay that much money for rice, egg, soy sauce, soybean oil, and about 3 ozs of protein at these Hibachi places.

Going during lunch is usually worth it.

Smash burgers for sure

I use a trowel for tiling I bought at Home Depot fro smash

Make sure you heat up the trowel before smashing or else it will stick to the meat when you lift up. I also sometimes spray it with Pam if it still sticks

I make Philly CheatSteaks. Cheap alternative to sheesh steaks. Usually for my wife and I along with sister and Brother in law.

4lbs 80/20. Cook down with diced onion. Seasoning of your choice. Toast roll of choice. Right at the end mix in a 24pk of sliced American Cheese (I find shredded cheese doesn’t work as well). Stuff in the rolls and good to go

I second pancakes

The only thing I would bother cooking on one

ETA nevermind the previous comment. I just remembered the store down the street has dosa batter. That could be good on a griddle if you can get the shape right

You could just use some parchment paper when you smash the burgers. Works every time.

After a brief search, is this just a burger that you smashed onto the griddle? I've never heard of it before.

I definitely need to try this. We make it every once in a while on the stove but it never comes out how I would want.

You put a ball of meat on the griddle and smash it on there.

Something I do on our stove top griddle is take a couple of packs of chicken thighs and toss them in some seasoned oil to match whatever style you're going for. Get the griddle going around medium high and distribute the thighs around and get em all nice and golden flipping halfway through. Easy way to do a bunch of chicken at a time instead of batches. If you had one of those outdoor stand alone griddles it would be even better bc you wouldn't have to worry about splatter mess.

It's nothing fancy but it's an easy and tasty way to cook up chicken.

Philly Cheesesteaks

Choice ribeyes, freeze a little better than half way, slice paper thin. Cheese and bun of your choice. Onions and peppers on the side in case anybody wants it.
