Have tried a number of their offerings, and they all hit it out of the park. Ghost in the Machine rocks. Canebreak is my all time fav. But I drank their pilsner today and it was perfect too.

Dare I say: Parish Brewing is the best in the state. Hands down.

Change my mind.

A lot of people put Great Raft up there with Parish. Gnarly Barley makes great beer too.

Hard to argue against Parish being number 1 in Louisiana. I think Urban South is good competition, though, and watch out for those Gilla guys. I had their Double Uranium IPA today, and I think it might be even more drinkable than ghost.

I tried ghost about a year ago and thought it was pretty overrated. That being said I haven't tried it on tap.

If parish is the best in the state then la has shite for craft beer offerings (and I tend to doubt that is actually the case)

I mean That’s not a super hot take

Parish is probably in everyones top 3 at the very least

I’m a big Urban South fan, but Parihs makes some monster beers

Great Raft is a better top to bottom brewery, and their Andrew actually drinks his beer.

Parish and Great Raft are neck and neck for me. Most of the baws aren't gonna give Great Raft the credit they deserve because they're in North Louisiana.

Their offerings are really solid. If only they could bring some of their pricings back down to earth.

Parish makes really great beer. My only complaint is that they don't make a lot of new beers for release, a la Urban South. They mostly have their base beers and then do variations.

Plus the brewery-only releases in fackin' Broussard with sky high prices...

That’s probably true. Shoot, I’m probably guilty of it

Stafford was looking to be the front-runner for their relocation to Texas next year. However, Sugar Land’s current City Manager is retiring, and the new one they’ve chosen to take over has luring Parish to Sugar Land as one of his Top 3 initiatives.

If you line them up side by side and draft which beers you want to drink, parish has what the top 4 picks before you get to either grace and grit or old mad joy?

I would actually have great raft 4th or maybe 3rd slightly ahead of gnarly. To me parish and urban south both outshine them in nearly every category.

I enjoy great rafts beers and think they’re taproom is the best in the state, but their beers are behind the other 2 imo.

I don’t see how this is even close between the 2, instead of just serially downvoting whoever thinks great raft is tops please explain why.

Urban South releases what seems like 4 new beers every other week. They also do a good amount of seasonals + Architecture series. Urban South pumps out a lot of different beer.
