Neither. Go grab a magellan one from Academy. Cheaper and nearly the same exact thing as those mentioned.

Both of them have longevity issues. I have a Yeti soft cooler that had to be replaced due to zipper issues. A buddy of mine brought his RTIC on a fishing trip. I liked the RTIC better.

Out of the two I'd choose RTIC personally and I am usually one to recommend all things Yeti.

If it were my money I'd look at a cheaper option Polar Bear, igloo, AO, etc... Like Pogey suggested

I had the Walmart cheap one for a few years. Zipper sucked even when new and it eventually just ripped. Insulation was fine but I ended up rarely zipping the lid shut.

Got an Engel for Father’s Day. I like it but haven’t used it enough to know if it was worth the price. The zipper is definitely better than the Wally World version.

I like the ice mule roll top style. Good quality and not as expensive as a yeti.

If you do t care about leaking Out the zipper the best beach cooler ever made is the polar bear back pack.

Waiting on Yeti warranty to approve my hopper 20 return. Zippers need grease to operate properly for any length of time.

I have an rtic. I've had it for about 4 years and it hasn't given me any trouble. My brother has a yeti but was given a polar bear as a safety award. He prefers the polar bear.

I have a Columbia Soft Cooler from Academy I bought specifically for the beach. It does not have a zipper and can be hosed off each day. It also has a removable tray that can be used to keep sandwiches etc. out of the ice.

I love it- I think it is the perfect beach cooler, but to each his own. We've been using it for 3-4 years now.

My original yeti hopper lasted 6 years and never leaked. The inner liner on the zipper was flaking and the gave me a new hopper with the magnetic strip on warranty return.

I don't like the shape of rtics soft cooler lineup. They don't hold nearly as much as the yeti can.

We all use AO Soft Coolers in our kayaks. I'm on year 4 with mine and it's held lots of Redfish and Trout. As soon as it's done I'm buying another.

seems like the zipper is an issue with all of them. I got rid of an rtic because of the zipper.

New yeti hopper is magnetic so that fixes the issue.

I've owned 2 Rtic soft coolers, a 30 and a 40. Both lids have come unglued and Rtic refuses to fix/replace as they said it was "sun damage". Bunch of b/s. Bought a yeti Hopper with the magnetic closure and absolutely love it. Built like a tank too. I will never waste money on another Rtic product again. There is a reason the Yeti costs more. I should have bought Yeti years ago and been done with it.

My RTIC 20 has been solid for years. My original Yeti hopper is still solid as well. I've also got a few polar bear coolers that are fine, but they will absolutely leak through the zipper if tipped over.
