Hell, I just moved to a house with old hardwoods and the scratches are great character and now I’m not concerned about dogs, furniture, etc.
I think the lowest I have is 1.25”
Is a reel mower worth it?

Just bought a house with a pretty well established Bermuda lawn that I’d say is in 7/10 shape which I hope to get better over the next year. Coming from st aug and centipede in my previous houses, I’m mowing with a toro self propelled and I’m down to the lowest setting and feel like I could go lower.
I guess you could call me a “grass guy” as I probably do more than most but I have a ways to go. Is a reel mower my next step? If so, I know they are pricey if you could recommend somewhere to pick up a quality used one if I do decide to go that route. This would likely be a next spring purchase.

I’d rather a Cary Koch field

Guidry sucks. What’s new
BR is a great hub for large successful business that unfortunately some can’t escape, me included. Paired with some really good Christian private schools, it’s still a comfortable place to live for a lot of folks. All we can do is hope that something changes eventually. It isn’t a great place though, so you just have to enjoy places outside of BR when you can.
Mostly centipede in the areas I’m targeting.

Probably not defined enough but I’ll work on it. Brand new landscaping before I bought the house last month. Weed eater throws too much mulch so I need a better option there
Grass growth in bed edges. What to do?
Posted by PapaPogey on 4/24/26 at 9:11 am
What are my options for grass in edges of beds? Just moved and the beds run right up against the grass and I’m having trouble combatting a little bit of grass growing through the edges. Natural border with bark mulch and mostly hollys lining the beds.
Outside of pulling them every weekend is there something I can spray to keep it down without damaging something subsurface in my beds? Root etc of plants
Can I spray with standard weed killer, or am I risking damage to plants?

Guidry isn’t good unless it’s 15 pitches

Does anyone know Milam personally? I have rarely seen an ounce of emotion from the kid. Maybe that’s just how he is, but man it would be great to see some enthusiasm and fire from someone on this team with tenure

Just moved from a nice new home with open floor plan to an older home without. As much as I loved the look of the open floor plan with huge kitchen and island, it was always loud chaotic, especially with a toddler. If you have them you know that when you’re in the kitchen they always want snack and juice. Well guess what, with an open floor plan, we basically spent every minute “in” the kitchen. It got old quick and now having separate rooms keeps everyone where they need to be.
Also, I miss my old single basin sink. My current is double and much smaller which is difficult because I cook a lot and use large bowls, cutting boards, etc that don’t fit anymore.

Free,
Ryobi makes great pressure washers so don’t shy away. I agree to get something a little bigger.
This is what I bought last year and I’m always finding an excuse to clean around my house. They also make one slightly smaller at I think 2900psi, which is still plenty,
LINK
As for the attachment, I have the Ryobi one too, but I find it doesn’t “glide well” so I bought a cheap one from Amazon that has casters on it and it’s effortless to move around much more so than the Ryobi. Also, if you’re taller, buy a cheap rod extension so you’re not slumped over and it will be way less fatigue after a few hrs.

This is what Guidry always does. That’s the least shocking outcome to this game for me
