Thats great.

Congrats.

This is bizarre to me. These people just quitting won’t draw unemployment because they’re not being laid off.
People are idiots.

Also, Scruffy disagrees with the writer’s premise.

There is a difference in “what is good for the economy” and “what is good for the individual”.

Even the concept of quitting to look for a higher paying job or starting a business may ultimately be good for the individual but not for the economy.

That issue becomes even more apparent when millions of people do that at the same time.

The general rate of successful rebound is likely pretty low, which is not “good for the economy”.

There is a balance that must be maintained.

Hell, that could have been a Babylon Bee article and Scruffy just can’t tell the difference anymore.

Yeah, I’ve fallen for some satirical shite that would have been completely obvious to me 10 years ago, but now it’s hard to tell the difference. This country has lost its fricking mind.

I'm not sure why some people continue to consume mass media and expect to find some truth there.

I suspect that they do so simply to find a reason to be upset or disturbed, because they enjoy that state of mind, at least sometimes.

If you consume what mass media, pop culture, Hollywood, Academia or Government serves up to you, you must analyze all of their products through one and only one prism: This is Brain-washing and Gaslighting.

We all accept this to be true, right?

All of these unemployed idiots think they can leverage pay raises. They are only speeding up inflation.

I honestly think this is what this administration and ruling party wants. They want people to sit at home so that they can be the saviors that are willing to give them free money to go vote them back in. They can't possibly be so stupid to think that what they are doing is what is best for the country, it has to be planned.

Of course they don't. They don't give two shits about the good of this country, hell a good chunk of them absolutely hate this country.

They're only concern is their own power and wealth while pushing the progressive movement onward to socialist victory.

One thing I know for certain is that no matter what the outcome of all of this, we will undoubtedly get exactly what we deserve from all of this. We sowed it, and we shall also reap that which we sowed.

Some workers are leaving for new jobs, with better pay or remote-friendly working conditions. Others have decided to start their own businesses rather than collect a paycheck. Still others are quitting with no firm plans, confident they can get a better deal elsewhere as the economy rebounds from the pandemic recession.

I know several folks who, up until the pandemic, had no thoughts of retirement but were in financial shape to retire.

Post pandemic, they made course corrections to “Every day is Saturday” Land.

I knew it. The great wealth transfer has begun. Millennials have nudged dad 6 feet under and don't need to work anymore. Everyone jump for joy.

Actually don't do this.

I’ve always wondered why you refer to yourself in 3rd person. It makes me think of Elmo.

Agree with them or not, they do point out why they believe it’s good for the economy

quote:
Workers are in a rare sweet spot — primed to push for more pay, better work-from-home arrangements and other perks they feel they need to stay, and with plenty of options if they leave.

"Employers, employees, and job seekers will all need to sort out what they want in the future. Given the tightness of the labor market, employees and job seekers may have a stronger hand right now," said Nick Bunker, research director for the Indeed Hiring Lab

No where in there does it mention the economy as a whole, just some rhetoric that employees are “in a sweet spot”

The only way people quitting is good for the economy is if they are quitting due to high confidence in the job market.

During strong recoveries there is a correlation between the quitting rate and consumer confidence and job market strength. Unfortunately, with all the outside (government) interference in the economy those things are no longer connected.

Trickle down bro. The workers are making them corporations trickle more of them dollars down. Then they go to da club and make it rain. Then oke girl Sparkles now has the money to afford a dime bag and a car. And now me the used car salesman has enough money to take his girl Tina to a Denny's. Why do you not see this.
