Imagine pulling into a charging station every 75 miles with a 30'-40' trailer on a trip. No Thanks!

If this is the case then one would not purchase an EV truck period. I see the use for an EV truck but it is not to tow stuff two states up the road. For that one can get a turbocharged eco boost.

Yeah man, that ain't gonna happen. Even though raisin brain wants to kill the entire fossil fuel industry, there is still too much at stake in world power and having those resources. EVs will be slowly trickling in, and I believe down the road they will engineer better battery alternatives, i.e. materials to make them and how to properly recycle and reuse. But that is a long way off.

Where do you live that you have to go to a "seedy" gas station to keep it running?

This has to be a troll right?

An F250 version would be appealing. To be able to tow big loads (10-20k) short distances (50 miles a day) would kind of be a game changer. I would consider it.

What are we going to do in eight years at the end of a Biden/Harris and Harris/***** administration when they've killed the oil and gas business via regulation? We'll be towing from Shreveport to Monroe, charge then Monroe to Jackson, charge .........

Diesel vehicles being the superior vehicles? Electric is a joke. Electric REQUIRES “FOSSIL FUELS”. Lots of them. Fkn morons.

I won't trust full EVs for at least another decade, when the charging stations are everywhere like gas stations.

I don't care about anything other than that 230-300 mile range, I can't work with that. Otherwise I'd gladly drive an electric vehicle.

I'll stick to my Tacoma that gets okay gas mileage for a truck and my '70 Dart Swinger that chews up the rest of the gas in Florida for now. The wife has an Accord that gets good gas mileage for trips, and we're beyond set.

We don't spend nearly enough on gas monthly to justify a $55k truck that only gets 230-300 miles per charge and needs charging stations everywhere to function as a permanent driver.

would get from around 75 to 125 miles max range

I would be very surprised to see it get even the lesser of these two numbers towing 10,000 lbs.

Two things eat up the juice in these things...extra weight and topography that isn't perfectly flat.

We have a golf cart with the Lithium-ion battery set up. It's great as all get out but load that cart up with four folks, hit a few hills and the range drops DRAMATICALLY.

Not even going to start with how cold temps will pile on those numbers as well.

It may as well read tows 10,000 lbs.... the length of a football field.

Interesting option for the truck owner who lives in the city or suburbs and doesn’t do a ton of towing. Long distances would require the use of another vehicle, but I could own one and charge every 6-8 days. Frunk seems pretty useful too. Loving my Ram Limited, so this probably won’t be my choice.

P.S. - Biden is an idiot and EVs don’t work for everyone, but holy sh*t some of you are Nancys. Acting like you give a f*ck about rare earth minerals? Come on man.

An electric work truck that travels less than 200 miles per day makes since. It has a lot of benefits, powering tools, less regular maintenance, etc. For the average guy that takes family road trips with it, uhhh no. Long road trips do not make sense in todays electric vehicles. It's too hard to charge overnight.

That car had more range than a horse at the time my "great gran pappy" was making that choice.

The EV's don't even compare to modern ICE vehicles when it comes to range.

That is a stupid comparison.
