I don’t see any charging stations like I see gas stations. So no.

I'm not against an electric vehicle... If I had the opportunity to own a Tesla I think I would enjoy it. However, I think a truck is a primary vehicle that needs to run on gas. In a storm, I want a truck! I do not want an electric truck that only gets 250 miles when the power may be out a week.

Exactly...remember when they were incentivizing the Toyota Prius with Tax credits? They only sold 230,000 of them in the best year they ever had.

evil cockroach, you don't strike me as the kind of person to buy a base model of anything. Pay more, get more range.

You literally can't find rav4 primes right now, and when you can they're 10k over sticker.

Plug in hybrid, 50 miles on a charge, almost 10k in rebates and credits.

Keep thinking no one buys them though.

Plug in hybrid. Wait until toyota makes a tacoma or tundra one.

For preppers like you you can always get a gasoline generator.

I think Ford already has that right? like doesn't the 2021 have a hybrid system where you can even have a generator built into the truck?

Not a proper plug in hybrid vehicle.

Plug in hybrids are literally set up just like EVs, just with a gas tank and motor as well. The EV engine works for the first 30-60 miles, depending on which vehicle you get, then the gas motor kicks in for the rest of your tank or until you charge it up again.

Best of both worlds. Combined EPG is around 125 or so. 600 miles to the tank, and you factor in the charge daily and you really are in good shape.

Doesn't take as long to charge as an ev as well.

It's the main reason toyota can't keep the damn things, they sell em off the lot the day they get em.

I’m not a part of some group called “The Masses”, and so no thanks on the whole 50k dollar lump of virtue signaling which will barely take me a third of the way to visit my family for the holidays before I have to get another 8 hour charge to get another third of the way down the road on way to my next 8 hour charge.

What a bunch on ridiculous nonsense. I’m good.
Just because you have requirements that a particular product doesn't meet doesn't mean it is "ridiculous nonsense".

A lot of people never, ever drive that far, and they never, ever have to stop anywhere for gas. They just drive to work and back, the store, whatever, and plug in when they get home. It's a huge time and money saver.

A lot of people have multiple vehicles. Choose the right tool for the job. This ain't difficult.

I agree. I am going to buy a truck in 2022. And the bulk of my use is in and around my home area. An EV truck would work well for me. And for long trips, I'll take my gasoline powered car.
