Govt employees get higher pay and pensions. They are winning bigly right now vs the private sector.

Exxon has always treated employees like shite. They still don’t even offer 9/80s.

Except you would be making 25% or more less in that situation, especially if you lived in this crappy state.

I live in this crappy state and get paid DC rates. I’m fortunate to live my best life. I’m also private sector.

I'd imagine many private companies will stop matching 401k, probably never to return

I work for a soul-less, publicly traded, bloodsucking multinational F500, and they did this in March.

I’d say Exxon is a standup entity from what I have seen in house and with our clients.

It’s either cut benefits or jobs; that Wall Street dick gets sucked no matter what. Just part of the game

frick them!! One of the most profitable companies ever and they're cutting benefits?? What a bunch of arrogant assholes.

How could anybody down vote this???

The MFers made insane profits. Tough times hit, and instead of just making modest profits and showing loyalty to the workers they say f—- off.

How can anyone who actually works for a living be ok with this?

You are right. They should just lay them off.

Aren't you reading? They skirted the rules to do layoffs.

They don't have to lay you off if they just fire you.

I’m not crying about anything. Just pointing out that the guy yelling “frick the man” is an idiot. This just in: Fortune 500 company chooses shareholders over employees. In other news: Germans bomb Pearl Harbor.
