A Latin American common practice.
I knew of 12 grapes for wishes, Suitcase to travel, and Yellow underwear.
I forgot them all this year being boring Gringo. A few more:
+ Yellow Underwear: Wearing yellow underwear on New Year's Eve is believed to bring fortune for the upcoming year.
+ Some people run around the house with an empty suitcase to symbolize a desire to travel in the new year.
+ Eating 12 grapes at midnight, each symbolizing a wish, is a traditional practice.
+ Making the first step after midnight with the right foot symbolizes starting the year on the 'right foot.'
+ Holding a note or coin at midnight is believed to bring financial stability.

1. Immigration reform / continue with mass deportation of illegal aliens.
2. Voter ID require a Real ID for all Federal elections. Verified day of voting.
3. Abolish the CIA in its current form.
(No funding for anything but surveillance.)
FBI should be 1st investigating all Fraud in government spending.
Then any kickbacks to politicians and and families.
It will be easier to start with guys that wish to work their asses to compete.

Exactly what I have started doing with Dental work. It more then pays in savings for a trip each year. I currently have saved large sum easily over 15k in dental by having mostly crowns done and fixed. My dentist has even fixed mutli crowns that come loss that was done here in USA for free.
Next year looking at getting a "executive physical" for about ~$300 which is similar to what you had done in Bangkok. All done in 1 day vs multiple days and no telling home much in specialist follow visits and for far cheaper then 1 visit here even with insurance.

I myself was hospitalized in South American Country due to a case of Montezuma's revenge. 24hr emergency room stay, lots of blood work and ultra sound, meds. In a nice hospital that I would but against all here in Louisiana. My cost ~$500usd. Ohhh all doctors spoke English and where trained all over world. Very Positive and responsive treatment. I hate to think how I would be treated here at home for same condition and what it would have cost.

This gotta be a record of Head Coaches changes in a single year in NCAA football. Regardless I think LSU got their Coach even if it cost us.
