Have you ever seen a dead body or watch someone die?

Not an open casket but like if you found one in the woods or something. I haven’t on either count which is fine by me but wondering if y’all have any good stories to share.

Good evening, officer.

I saw a guy get hit by a car while trying to run across the road. What I remember most is how many flips he did and how high his shoes went in the air

Yes. I watched as my wife, her mom, and aunt were bedside with her grandmother as she passed. It was something I will never forget.

These aren't good stories.
And yes.
And yes.

Wiring a new gymnasium up I watched a guy fall (relatively short fall, 5’ or so) break his neck and started having a seizure pretty immediately. Called an ambulance and he died before the ambulance loaded him in the truck.
Edit: Not something I’d wish anyone would have to watch. It was horrifying knowing I was helpless.

Several last gasps during traffic accidents. I'm extra cautious on the road because of those times.

I provided chest compressions for
CPR on my invalid aunt on the meat wagon on the way to the hospital in 1985.
I knew she was expired but did what I could for the sake of my grandparents.

Unfortunately. And it still in my mind, in detail. No matter how many benzos or ways I tried to distort it, itll never leave me.

Yes and yes.
Oh and I once shot a man in Reno, just to observe him die.

When I was in the Navy we responded to the Indonesian tsunami, saw lots of dead bodies, all ages. They were apparently carried back out to sea when it receded.
