I watched my dad die of COPD and lung cancer. Watching him take his last breath fricked me up for a good minute.

My father in the hospital with me holding his hand. My little brother at my mother's home with me holding his hand. My 2 1/2 year old son with paramedics trying to revive him. I have scars.

I watched both my parents die in the hospital, if that counts.

Saw a young child, 4 or 5 y/o, get hit by a car and died instantly.

He wasn’t buckled in, fell out of the vehicle he was in and into the street they turned on to. Car behind them hit him.

I’ve seen every imaginable corpse and manner of death and autopsy. I imagine I’ll see plenty more before my life is over. After the first few, it’s really nothing special. Babies are actually not that memorable.

You never get used to the smell.
