Injuries aside, who would you rather as your statting center today?

I find this to be a very tough one to answer. Not sure which one I would rather.

This whole thing seems a little too sexual for my taste, so I'll pass

Embiid. Towns is soft. Terrible defensively.

that's asinine. Embiid is far better but injuries make him far less reliable. The lesser player is better than the player sitting in street clothes.

If it’s injuries aside as you say, the. Joel is a no brainer. No slight to Towns though, you wouldn’t go wrong taking him.

If injuries aren't a factor, I take Embiid and don't even have to think about it.

Injuries or not, I’m rolling the dice with Embiid. He’s an all time great and that’s what wins championships more often than not.

KAT has HoF talent but his defensive woes are troubling.

Embiid hasn’t played a full season yet and he’s better than every big not AD in NBA. Him being a true C has more value than AD imo. He can bang with the other team’s bigs and not get tired. The Pels invested into Asik because AD doesn’t want to be C.

If you're going to ignore all injuries

Embiid > KAT

but if you're gonna ignore all injuries, I'd take AD > all

It's much tougher if you replace Towns with Porzingis.

Of the current "unicorn" big men, I would currently go with the following

1) Healthy Embiid (who is not by any means a guarantee)
2) Davis
3) Giannis
4) Porzingis
5) Actual Embiid
6) Towns

Everyone is stupid for taking embiid. Easily take the guy with the jump shot. Jesus

Injuries aside, I'm taking Embiid because I believe he has the higher ceiling. That isn't a knock on KAT either, because he has extremely high potential himself.

KAT has not lived up to the defensive potential that we think he has. He has been terrible defensively. Also, the +/- for the 6ers when Joel is on the court, versus when he is off is ridiculous. His presence requires so much gravity that he affects the game in a way Towns doesn't.
