Idk. The late 90s - early 00s was loaded with icons.

Feels like a steal for the Sixers

I assume that Boston is trying to balance being moderately competitive and saving money (with Brown's contract going one extra year beyond PG's at $65 million) while rebuilding by gaining draft capital.

Not saying it will work, but depending on the draft capital, this allows the Celtics to bring in young talent or package those picks for a bigger fish down the line.

We also shouldn't underestimate the impact of a new ownership group. I know nothing about them, but they aren't guaranteed to be a group that is willing to spend money.

Kessler is beyond overrated.

I like Kessler, but not at that price tag and what they gave up to get him.

Devil's advocate, though, would say that Luka is at his best with a rim-running Center, and Luka makes any center play two levels above their actual perceived talent.

re: Trey to Blazers proposal

Clingan is going to have to produce at a higher rate than one made 3ptr per game on three attempts before I consider him a floor spacing big. Sure, those attempt numbers may be slightly below Turner, but teams will be more than happy conceding offensive possessions that end in a Clingan 3pt attempt.

That’s such an awkward fit with Cade but maybe talent outweighs the fit

Salons is a good passer and a decent offensive engine with the ability to run handoffs, hit cutters, and play P&R. I would imagine they try the end game Jokic/Murray P&R offense.

Also, Detriot was a one-man offensive band with Cade. They are trading off defense for offense here., but they need to add more offensive zip.

The only world in where 2 first for Trey is fine is if there is a young player (or 2) with legit potential thrown in.

2 firsts alone is not enough especially with how the lottery works nowadays.

Exactly. Either Two 1st and a promising player, or a Mikal Bridges/Desmond Bane type offer. If not, you keep Trey.

The OP specifically mentioned WWL's newscast. Since we are fascinated with people having to look a certain way as opposed to judging based on if they are good at their jobs, New Orleans is greater than 50% black.

If your goal is to judge by merit, that's acceptable. But why does sharing the same skin tone matter in this context?

So, are you upset because there are three Black people and one gay guy on set? Because I am still waiting for you to provide some insight into why that is a problem, like whether they are bad at their jobs or not.

So much for living in a nation where people are not judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character, huh?

I’ll start by saying I don’t like this hire, but thank goodness it isn’t Ham.
Paolo didn’t get along with him, but Paolo was also a big reason the Magic didn’t live up to their preseason expectations. He’s treated like a true #1 guy, but he played more like the engine of a very mediocre offense. Yeah, he had a good playoff series, but his regular season wasn’t very good compared to what was expected of him.
He was a ball-stopper who, at best, created a bunch of contested jumpers or drives into a wall of defenders. He’s not good off the ball, still very inefficient as a shooter, average on defense, and he didn’t really make his teammates better.
Paolo was just as big a reason for the Magic’s struggles as Jahmal and is a big reason he’s been in trade rumors.

don’t think anyone thought the 2019 draft was generational lol. Zion as a prospect was. That’s about it.

Meh. At the time, the threesome of Zion, Ja, and Barrett were all looked at as having franchise cornerstone potential.

We’ve seen this play out before.

If you’re really good at your job, you keep your job.

If you’re terrible at your job… you’re fired.

And his boss doesn’t exactly have much of a moral leg to stand on either.
