He’s widely regarded as a strong recruiter, which I assume is the main reason he’s being hired.

They are finally putting it together. DJ has been so much better than I could have imagined. Athletically I see no drop off which is incredible. His fire is so important. He is on guys arse when they blow an assignment.
The bigs are playing better. Karlo snd Yves have really grown. The rookies are improving and look confident. Fears makes 2-3 jaw dropping plays a game. Queen is figuring it out. Tonight was his best game in a while.
While I agree, we should be a little wary of bottom-of-the-league teams making late-season runs in March and April.
The competitive context of the league changes drastically during March and April.
The majority of the wins over the past 15–20 games have been against openly tanking teams or teams that are struggling.
With that being said, there are many positives that I do think will translate to next season:
DJ looks a lot healthier than expected. This team was lacking a true No. 1 point guard who can lead a team, settle them down, control the tempo, and get them into their preferred actions.
That burden is often too great for rookie point guards, and Jose’s size limitations force him into a backup role. I cannot overstate how much more organized this team seems to be with a smart veteran point guard.
Herb looks healthy again and is back to his defensive, hawkish ways.
Zion’s overall ability to stay healthy and stay on the floor.
Karlo’s athleticism and hustle add a form of dynamism that we haven’t had at the center position (when he is playing center) since probably AD.
The combination of Herb and DJ gives us two guys who you know can be the anchors of this team’s defense, and we aren’t playing a starting lineup with four or five defensive sieves.
re: Was Michael B. Jordan truly the best actor?

I agree that plenty of actors can play two different roles, but I do think MBJ did an excellent job of making these twins feel like they were clearly connected yet still completely distinct people.
Tom Hardy didn't get nominated for Legend and his portrayal of Twins was objectively better that Jordan's.
MBJ's performance isn't graded against the entire body of cinema over the years. The Oscars are a snapshot of a specific moment - 2026. The argument for MBJ isn't whether he delivered the greatest twin performance ever, but whether his work was worthy of the nomination he received. I believe his performance deserved a nomination, and I have no issue with him winning. In a year without a clear-cut favorite for Best Actor, I would have been satisfied with Leo, Timmy, or MBJ taking home the award.
quote:
I thought MBJ did a good job, but not Oscar worthy. Did he win it for his role as Smoke, or Stack? It feels like cheating to combine them when everyone else was considered for one role. Any actor can play two different parts.

No it makes the Thunder’s team depth more impressive.
SGA and the starters didn’t win that game, look at +/- compared to the Nuggets bench
Ajay Mitchell, McCain, and Jaylin Williams stepping up won that game.
SGA hit the awesome game winner and gets the credit, but they lose by double digits if not for those 3 guys I mentioned
Jaylin Williams started last night

all against the fully healthy Nuggets
Wrong
The Nuggets had their full starting lineup, while OKC was without J-Dub and Chet. SGA absolutely dominated the game. Adelman tried running zone, blitzing SGA with double-teams right after he crossed half court, and sending extra defenders on his drives into the paint, but nothing worked consistently. SGA tore Denver’s defense apart.
Last night was the game of the year, and we can only hope to see this matchup in the WCF.
