Ideas: best or most memorable wedding gift you received

Have a cousin getting remarried and the person they are marrying has also already been married. Both of them had their own houses and have all “the usual” things. Don’t want to get them pots or dishes, etc. For anyone who’s been remarried, what’s the best or most memorable gift you two got? Something they’ll both be able to enjoy. I need some help with ideas.

One of my Houston friends took my pat cat into his house for the three weeks I was gone on our honeymoon in the far East. He wasn't even a cat person. But after living with a pretty decent animal, he adopted a stray because his house felt empty without a pet.

My best wedding gifts were a set of folding tables and 6 chairs for when we have crawfish boils and barbecues and need more seating. I also threw a nice ladder on my registry. That ended up being a good gift, still using it 21 years later.

This was a gift given to a guy who used to work for me.
The first time he met his future wife’s parents he plugged up a toilet in the future in-laws bathroom. He had to call out to his future wife from the bathroom to get him a plunger. He was very embarrassed.
For his wedding I gave him a plunger with a box on the end and the handle wrapped tightly around it. It was obvious what it was. What wasn’t obvious was that I unwrapped a bag of tootsie rolls and stuffed them inside of the box with the head of the plunger.

Lots of nice ones...
The one before this one she had "simply the best"
played as we were walking up the aisle on the 18th hole of the TPC. And the glass decanter with those words engraved is on my bar, still.

My friends mother took or wedding invitation and had it printed on to a piece of travertine tile and the filigree is raised and the gold flake shines. We have it on our fireplace mantle.
I have no idea how much it cost but iwas probably the most thoughtful gift we recieved.

If they have everything the need for the house, get them something that will deliver an experience.
A cooking class, a wine and art class, anything they can use to press pause, escape for an evening, and do together.

My most memorable gift was a good set of steak knives from my best friend’s parents. Still use them 23 years later.

Toaster oven. It wasn't on our list, but we used it 10000x more than anything else we got.

I got remarried to my wife who was previously married and my cousin paid for us to go to Fiji for a week. It was a really nice gesture and a gift I will never forget.

You give newlyweds cutting boards with your last name on them?
Hmmm

Ok, thinking about a gift card to a very nice restaurant or a cooking class in the city they live in. Keep the ideas coming though!

My go to wedding gift is a cutting board. If you’re somewhat handy you can make it yourself. Every wedding I go to now, I’ll bring one of the boards I make as a gift.
I usually make 3-4 a year out of $200 in wood.

That’s sad in their part.
You don’t ask for wedding presents the second time. That’s so tacky

Money or gift card for something on their honeymoon. As in a dinner out somewhere specific, an activity, etc. A wedding registry when you are young and starting out to start a home/ family together makes sense. If they are both older and have all the shite, it doesn’t.
Anything custom is always a decent gift though, I mean like their names on it or whatever.

About the only wedding present I remember was from friends that were in bad financial condition due to him being diagnosed with myasthenia gravis.
She mounted our wedding invitation on a plaque with an artificial flower( think it’s called a collage). They apologized that they couldn’t afford to buy us a “proper” present.
It hangs on a wall in our bedroom,I consult it every year when our anniversary gets close.Married 45 years and I haven’t missed an anniversary yet.So I consider it our best present.
