Friend of mine (A) got married and friend (B)'s mom gave him a crockpot.

Years later friend (B) got married and friend (A) gave him a crockpot.

It still had a card in it from (B)'s mom wishing (A) a happy marriage.

My go to gift is the Jimmy Buffett margarita machine....I given 3 as gifts and everyone of them has said it was best gift ever and is used quite often

The gift I remember the most is a nice set of Wustof kitchen knives in a block, still using 20 plus years later

A note that says

"its okay to divorce this one too, if she turns out to be crazy."

Moral support ....

I've had a couple of close family members get married and I told them to let me know what item they had on their wedding registry that they didn't receive, and that's what I bought them. Only downside is your gift might be a week late.

Most memorable and useful, my grandmother got all of her grandkids a KitchenAid stand mixer when they got married. 22 years later and we still use ours a good bit. Stuff like plates and silverware are nice for young couples, but I couldn't tell you who got what for us all these years later off of a registry. But I can tell you Granny got us the mixer, my parents paid for the honeymoon, and my father in law got us the fancy steak knife set.

It's not really a gift but something e used to do 20 + years ago. Wife and I would always grab an aisle seat during the wedding and snap a bunch of photos with a digital camera. As soon as the wedding was over, the bride and groom would be taking pictures. We would head towards the reception, but 1st make a stop at a place that made digital photos on the spot.

Already had a frame, print the best looking photo then head to the reception. Find the perfect place to set the 1st picture of the newlywed couple. It was a hit every time.

You would have gotten murdered at the weddings I’ve paid for. And not by me.

Had to go to a wedding this past weekend and, honest to God, their registry was a series of links to Apple Pay for shite like ‘Honeymoon Fund,’ Concert Tickets,’ and ‘Kitty Treats.’ I told my wife we should get them a toaster or something like that just to be dicks. (And yes, the guy getting married attended my wedding and didn’t give us jack shite, so he’s coming out ahead either way. )

I don’t play golf but doesn’t matter. Still trashy.

Just playing that song is top shelf trashiness.

We received a very high quality and excellent wine opener that we still use, pretty much every week. 27 years and counting.
