I married a second generation Italian from Chicago. Her family and mine would seem to be like oil and water but rednecks exist everywhere so there isn't that big a difference. Her aunt made a wishing well for our reception. No one in my family knew what it was but apparently the aunt and 2 of my Wife's cousins explained the concept to my family. When we left for our honey moon the family packed up my Blazer with the gifts and stuff from the wedding and left it at the hotel we spent the night at before flying to Jamaica. When we got back 10 days later we were worn out so I left most of the stuff in the truck, including the wishing well. My mother in law asked my wife about the wishing well about a week after our return...it was still in the truck. I went and got it, opened it up, and there was just shy of $11,000 cash in the damned thing. It had been in my truck, doors unlocked, a mile from Hartsfield airport in an unsecured Hotel parking lot and unlocked in our driveway for about 3 weeks. Pretty good wedding gift!
