IDK why its so popular here to actively root against the WNBA. I don't personally watch it, but its success or failure doesn't impact me at all. It probably will have an uptick when Clark goes. Some of y'all have daughters, its cool that there is an option to go pro in a sport for them.

This and to say women’s basketball or women in sports is “liberal” is fricking stupid.

I'm not sure what Clark would be able to do that any of the other college stars before her couldn't. Hell, most recently we had Sabrina Ionescu who is better at basketball and better looking. She didn't "save" the WNBA. So what does Clark bring that she didn't? Is it because Clark talks shite and is demonstrative on the court? Not sure that's gonna change anything.

I think people underestimate the value Colleges bring.

People care 10000x more about it Iowa and LSU than the Mercury.

So when Iowa and LSU have entertaining players they will get more viewers than the Lynx

How much does NBA make? Is 10M a drop in the bucket?

$10mill is their losses, not total investment. You can bet they're pumping much more into it than that if their loss is $10 big ones.

Clark for sure won’t avg 30 ppg in the league. It may draw some initial interest, but it will wear off quick once they realize that she won’t be as effective as in college.

My use and a 12yr old girl’s use is vastly different. Surely you’re aware of that.

Absolutely nothing. But they will keep yelling it to the rooftops.

Seems to me that the word "save" connotates that it was in any way successful in the first place. Because it really was never in that position, and has needed to be "saved' from fricking day one (hence the subsidization by the NBA since its inception).

Given how every Caitlyn Clark thread goes 50 pages and half the board came and white knighted for her when she was disrespected by Swoops, she might just do something for the NBA. I've never seen a player get talked about and supported so much who plays a sport they supposedly hate. I guess once she goes to the WNBA the MSB love affair with her will go away?

I hope so. Maybe the WNCAA and WNBA threads will disappear for good.

A lot of the hate for Clark is LSU fans for some reason reverse melting over a player their team beat its very strange.

LSU fans on this board are the biggest fricking cry baby fans in the world. There’s your answer.

Bill Burr is right when it comes to the WNBA...this isn't a mens issue or men's fault...the failure of the WNBA is 100% women's fault!! He is right...100 women watch the WBNA any given night, while 100 million watch the Kardashians every night. It's really that simple.
