Did anyone think the market of Vegas would be the best place for a WNBA team?

It’s insane some of the business decisions that are made on things like this.

I just heard she's selling out every road venue.

People driving over 10 hours.

Had another triple-double and 8 consecutive 3's against Minnesota at Minnesota.

Every time she scored, the crowd roared... At Minnesota.

Checks out. I guess you find anything to celebrate, no matter how relevant.

Really? There’s nothing glaring that sticks out to you as to why people would enjoy seeing a product fail that we are force-fed by woke agendas?

It’ll be interesting for sure to see how the current batch of WBB stars translate into the WNBA. I can’t recall ever having this many recognizable names in WBB.

The WNBA needs to use this opportunity to rebrand themselves. I’ve watched WBB since the days of Gunter/Pokey and have never watched a WNBA game and couldn’t even tell you what time of the year they play.

LSU has played in front of record crowds for opposing schools about 10 times this season. Last night at UGA they said it was the largest attendance at an UGA game in 12 years. When LSU’s players leave the locker room after the game there are 100 or more fans waiting for pictures and autographs.

This is all on the road.

ESPN points this out every LSU game they air. Opponents are selling out their arenas when LSU comes to town. That’s unheard of and speaks volumes to what LSU WBB has done for the exposure of the sport in the last year.

Doesn't the WNBA have some stupid system in place that almost guarantees that half their first round draft picks don't even make the team?

It's something with the way their salary system works. But yeah, I think like 3-4 girls who get drafted actually end up on a team the following season. But they have at least 3 rounds of a draft. It's asinine.

So what does Clark bring that she didn't? Is it because Clark talks shite and is demonstrative on the court? Not sure that's gonna change anything.

lol, please post links to all the highlight reels of players launching 35 foot shots at full speed in transition. Step backs from james harden range. Women’s hoops hasn’t seen this kind of scorer that can distribute and score from anywhere on the floor.

I’m not sure many understand how bad her supporting cast is and how unrealistic the results she has delivered really are. Her accomplishments are nothing short of miraculous given how little she had around her at Iowa.

ETA: and as incredible as she is, women’s hoops is still an unwatchable product.

I don't think most here, myself included, are rooting against the WNBA. I think most are dumbfounded how a product that poor and that poorly-attended gets so much attention on ESPN.

I've watched probably more WNBA than most of this board combined (used to bet it heavily). The quality of basketball is shockingly poor. If you haven't really watched it before, I don't think you quite understand how bad the basketball is.

Because pushing the WNBA represents ESPN’s attempts to be “woke.”

It is weird for sure. A lot of effort on the msb to go out of their way to dump on something they say they don't care about.

Right, which leads many to then want to not like it because they see the WNBA as the poster child for the SJW incursion into sports.

She will bring a lot of viewers with her. Deny it all you want, but she will. If she's averaging 30 a game, there will be people watching. The female Larry Bird.

I hope she does , but I think she needs a " Magic Johnson " or comparable adversary so to speak. Playing in Indiana also may not help.
