Joffrey was a bastard…. Meaning Stannis would be in line
It wasn’t just that Joffrey was a bastard—he had no blood relation to the king at all. Gendry as the kings actual bastard had a better claim.
There's a world in which this works out and Dumars is a competent overview and connections guy. Having a widely-respected person who did this role for the whole league and has bigtime leaguewide connections could really fill a major gap for the Pelicans org IF he's limited to that.

The reality is other NBA teams and people around the league see the Pelicans as an isolated anomaly. Gayle is on an island--doesn't have any friends in the NBA and they run stuff through football people. If Dumars is coming in just to bridge that gap and hires a good GM to actually run personnel, he could be a great hire.

That's me gaming out best-case scenario. If he's doing the Griffin role, frick everything.

Chip Vaughn

One year of his career was spent with the Saints. Saints had Chip Vaughn on the roster for one year in their franchise history. Saints won one championship in their franchise history. It was the one season Chip Vaughn was on the Saints roster. 100% of the seasons Chip Vaughn played for the Saints ended in a Super Bowl win.

Chip Vaughn = Championship

GOAT pick

Incredible fight. Will be interesting to see if Benavidez hangs at LHW or moves on to cruiserweight in his next couple fights. He is a big dude and still young. Could have an Usyk-type run in the future

Fuk it. At this point let's go Deon then trade up for his son. It's the splash hire the Saints need. For better or worse we need this now!
Guessing you’re under 30. Read up on the Ditka/Ricky Williams season. That’s what you’re proposing.

No you’re not
This is a refreshingly level-headed post. A lot of us are just so frustrated and venting. I end up just not posting because I don’t enjoy spending time in negativity and that’s all this season has been. You’re right though.
All I want to know is why Stromile Swift never gets invited to these family gatherings.

frick it. Let’s kick the tires on Art Shell while we’re at it. Brian Callahan is available too.

I keep a pair of rimless Maui Jim's for regular use. Comfort is unbeatable.

I keep a few pairs of Goodrs for anything outdoorsy or athletic where they might be damaged or lost. Cost-quality is great. If something happens, I'm only out $25.

The Ringer makes a lot of sense here.

That opening game against App State. They moved it earlier in the day because a hurricane was coming. Hottest game I’ve ever experienced at Tiger Stadium.

In 15 seasons as an NFL head coach, Gruden compiled just six full winning seasons, and led his team to the playoffs in only five seasons.

Three of the winning seasons came in his first five years. In his next ten years, he had only three more full winning seasons (two of those were 9-7) and his teams made the playoffs only twice, losing both times in the Wildcard Round.

Gruden's overall record was 117-112. If you take away the Bucs' Super Bowl, which you can't, but which was the largely the result of him inheriting a loaded team, he's Jeff Fisher.

Gruden doesn't miss football; indeed, he admits that he's involved in it daily. His ego simply can't stand not being in the spotlight any longer. He's a celebrity who can't get hired back onto TV because of his own doings. But he's a faded celebrity, not a top-notch head coach.

Would not touch him with a ten-foot pole for a coaching job.
This. All of this. I've been saying this for years. This dude was fun and charismatic on TV for a long time and people forgot he's a totally mediocre coach who hasn't actually been a good coach in 2 decades. People that claim to want him to coach their programs want it based on cause, not credentials.

Now they're just playing games. I thought for a second they were bringing back the Arch Deluxe--the only thing that would ever get me to go back to McDonalds. :banghead:
