I mean I'm sure they made promises to Perkins with regards to development during his recruitment.
Also, teams had started to neutralize Perkins as a pure edge rusher at the end of last season.

Too much emotional control that manifested itself to the team playing passive.
You have to be more disciplined but at the same time this is a football game not a business meeting. Play with some emotion and act like you give a damn. Can't let the other team push you around, knock your guys out of bounds and you have no response. Where is our fight?

Sounds like this team listened to their own press clippings and all tried to play hero ball all night. They thought that they would walk over Fla st. and no one did their job.
