I know. And I think you’re always going to have a couple players like that. My concern is that it was a huge portion of the team and that’s a serious problem. That’s all on coaching and setting up the mental preparation.

Spot on. When all that was going down in first quarter, I didn’t recognize this LSU team. Past teams didn’t get pushed around and look soft. Direct reflection of the Head Coach. Very alarming.

A lot was not asked regarding coaching. Defensively repeatedly rushing only 3 on 3rd and long. No creativity near the goal, resembled Les Miles’ offense.

I hated his response to the Perkins question. I’m all for player development but not at the expense of an LSU victory. You put your players in position to get an LSU VICTORY. It’s not so much player development that I’m worried about. It’s the way he responded to the question as if 50% is getting Perkins ready for the NFL and 50% was about victory. On gameday when we step out onto the field it should be about winning for LSU and that’s it.

Is he saying that playing Perkins at ML is what's best for his NFL career, or is that what is needed at LSU, b/c i would disagree with both?

He did say at the end that they had to be more creative on offense but he said he wasn't going to answer that exact question a couple minutes earlier.

He said they have to balance what’s best for Perkins in the future along with what is best for LSU right now and they’ve already started to look to adjust his role within the defense.

Pretty safe to say that Kelly wasn’t happy with the teams attitude and mindset. Failure of coaching and personal failure by the players. That’s concerning, but getting smacked in the mouth can change that quickly.
