Hoping we learn about what went wrong against FSU, and what changes we can expect against Grambling.

- Kelly does not question team's physical capabilities...thinks team had mental/focus breakdown and lost competitive edge...blames his own messaging to the team.

- "How does Kelly restore LSU's competitive edge?": some guys had it, some didn't...team didn't have sense of urgency...jogged when they should have sprinted. Coaches plan to show team examples of their lack of hustle.

- "Thoughts on Harold Perkins performance": Kelly still trying to find happy medium that balances needs of team with needs of Perkins for next level (NFL)...it's a work in progress.

- "Thoughts on running game": didn't really say much except they need to run the ball better...Daniels can't be our best runner.

- Kelly "giddy" about getting Maason Smith back...will help tremendously.

- Kelly said DB's were out of position at crucial times...

- Kelly said he didn't say LSU would beat the heck out of Florida State...

- Kelly said not everyone was doing their job on some of the failed red zone possessions...

- On Aaron Anderson: he will continue to get chances to return punts...says he just needs to be more disciplined.

- Injury report: Armoni Goodwin still questionable...Aaron Anderson is probable...

- John Emery is not available for Grambling game.

If I drank every time he’s said “um”, I’d already be drunk.

Addressed his comment of “this team is not who I thought they were.” His answer is Chicken’s first tidbit.

Now that you mention it, I can't NOT notice it.

So basically we didn't play hard or with an edge. How the frick are our guys not fired up to play a top 10 game to open a season? None of it makes any sense.

The same ones who declared the team a title contender all camp will now say they are a 6 win team.

I have no problem with developing Harold Perkins into a more all-around LB, but when you need pressure you gotta get him in the mix.

I hated his response to the Perkins question. I’m all for player development but not at the expense of an LSU victory. You put your players in position to get an LSU VICTORY. It’s not so much player development that I’m worried about. It’s the way he responded to the question as if 50% is getting Perkins ready for the NFL and 50% was about victory. On gameday when we step out onto the field it should be about winning for LSU and that’s it.

I don't know but you could see it. Just trotting around the field. Most glaring example was on a 4th and short and Perkins could have crashed in and stopped the QB, but he just watched and stood there. Team looked soft as Charmin.

They should roast him mercilessly. He has earned that much.
