Coastal Carolina head baseball coach Gary Gilmore is retiring, so he wasted no time airing out his complaints about the current state of college sports during his final press conference...

He's right, but the reality is the players should get paid. The problem is the NCAA allows it with absolutely no guidelines and here we are today.

Oh well. Did it to themselves. Conferences want billion dollar TV deals and coaches want millions of dollars without paying players. Suck it crybaby

I can see a lot of schools completely shuttering their sports programs

I wonder when MLB teams will start NILing players in college. The influence all this money is going to give players over coaches is going to be diastriaous.

Sux to see where things are going, but glad I sepetated myself from college sports years ago before all this started popping up.

Anyone being influenced to spend money somewhere based on some college kid is an idiot.

I’m sorry, but every time I see the name “Gary Gilmore” I think of the guy who got executed by firing squad in Utah. This happened YEARS ago, but I’m old now.

You don’t know this. I guarantee you Arkansas and the 2 Texas schools are ahead of them. Both have more money and a craving fan base.
