Why did he want to keep them?

he didnt, they were boxes of his personal papers, and he turned those boxes of documents over to the FBI and national archives in january so the whole fake narrative point of the raid was a lie.

now, what else do you have to reeeek about?

He's already said the boxes of stuff the National Archives wants back are personal items he recieved while President. One example he gave was a letter and godt he got from the North Korean leader. Trump says they're his, the National Archives says they're theirs.

Some code about Presidential docs. I suspect it was put into law after Nixon.

So you have zero clue to which code you are referencing, and don’t know what it says, but you’re comfortable coming here and saying “the law is clear” and that Trump violated that law?

Only if he is convicted of a crime by the senate after being impeached by the house.

From the Washington Examiner

quote:

The first subsection says: "Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both." The following passage that says anyone "having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States," was the one Elias highlighted.

That law does not disqualify you from running for or being president.

ETAL again, only if he is convicted of a crime by the senate after being impeached by the house. This part is in the constitution.

Look at this constitutional scholar.

quote:

Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution imposes only three eligibility requirements on persons serving as president, based on the officeholder’s age, time of residency in the U.S., and citizenship status:

"No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States."

These requirements have been modified twice. Under the 12th Amendment, the same three qualifications were applied to the vice president of the United States. The 22nd Amendment limited office holders to two terms as president.

His right to hold office is constitutionally protected.

The Constitution says "not so fast my friend."

The law is clear.

Too bad the law is unconstitutional.

Why do you think it would take Congressional action?

He is a private citizen and this allegation seems criminal.

So, what were his "willful and unlawful" intentions here?

Yeah. None of those elements have been met even if what the Media alleges occurred (which it more than likely didn’t).

Would such a law be unconstitutional?

Why is Trump quiet about what the warrant described the FBI was looking for? You got to admit that is weird.

The law is this... The President and the PRESIDENT ALONE has the authority to classify docs within the WH.
