He's highly respected by everybody in this room and John, I want to thank you very much," Trump said to Bolton, who served as United Nations ambassador during the George W. Bush administration. "This is going to be a lot of work. Interesting day. He picked today as his first day, so generals, I think he picked the right day, but certainly you're going to find it very exciting because you are going to do a fantastic job and I appreciate you joining us." After praising Bolton, Trump was asked why he won't just fire Special Counsel Robert

2012?

I forget...was Trump a Republican or Democrat then? He flip flops so often, right folks?

Respectfully...you don't find it odd that a guy that was basically left leaning to apolitical only a few years ago suddenly talks like this?

Maybe I'm wrong, and if so we'll see over the next decade or so...but this just SCREAMS con man to me. The fact that I tend to agree with much of what he says doesn't for an instant make me think HE believes any of it.
He's the smartest used car salesman I've ever seen...that's for sure.
Arcades were basically just a Mall thing for most.

For me not being close enough to a mall to go to without someone driving me, I found arcade games at local places...and most had them. Local Time Saver always had a game near the counter, and it rotated every 6 months or so. first time I played Asteroids was there.

Later we had a K&B open nearby and for some odd reason they set up an arcade game there back by the magazine section. tons of games rotated through there.

Joust
Mario Brothers
Donky Kong
Q*Bert
Journey (The band had a game)
But my favorite was Gyruss and it stayed there a while and I got good at it. Eventually that became "my" game and I'd seek it out at arcades and then own the game for 45 minutes stretches.

I keep threatening to get a full size cabinet made and sit it in my office.

You don't think a studio can tell a showrunner that they hired that the writing group must have a certain diversity score?

re: Fail Gifs. Let's post them.

Over the course of this thread, I must have said this 50 times.

Do yall really care that much to create "alters" here?

Of course not.

Imagine feeling the need to create an alter on a board where you're already anonymous.

just that she didn’t look like a movie star.
she looked more like she could be someone you know.

You're 100% right.

Phoebe Cates is like the anti-Instagram girl. Pretty, but no filter added. Nothing fake. No face painted on with makeup.

And yeah, she legit DID look like one of the hottest girls you'd actually know, and that scene with Judge Reinhold is perfectly written to capture that awkward feeling of having the hots for some girl from school that you had no shot with.

That's why it's burned into our brains...everyone one of us imagined our own Linda Barrett exactly that way from the moment we saw that scene.

Side note, as a horny teenager in high school (mid 90’s), I made a tape of famous actresses’ nude scenes.

I've explained this to ability to my wife and she's under some delusion I'm the only man alive that has basically a photographic memory for nude scenes in movies.

We've played this game before where she'll name an actress and within a few seconds I'll tell her if she's been naked and describe the movie/scene.

I don't think most women have any idea...

this thread is complete vindication of what I've always known.

Kelly Brook in "Survival Island" was a sight to see..

I must have watched that stupid fricking movie 5 times in bits and pieces on cable at night before I ever bothered to put the sound on.

Isn't she just a deaf chick? How is she even half a match for Daredevil? He should whip her arse i the first 5 seconds.

It's now 2024...she's a triple minority. She wins ALL fights.

POC? Check.
Vagina Owner? Check.
Differently Hearing? Check.

She'll probably kick Hulk's arse at this point.

And I'm pleased to announce that I was on Page 4 and wrote the exact thing I was about to write just now when I saw the thread title.

Obviously there are other significant issues, but the amount of integration is now insane.

You have to watch 7 Disney+ shows to get a seemingly unrelated movie to even make sense.

And, here's the fun part...while making/expecting customers to consume all product in order to be able to consume NEXT product, they have the gall to tell people not to complain if they don't like it, because it's probably not made for them.

Now this is a fun thread to bookmark...because if it happens, it'll be glorious watching either the crawfishing or posts that get deleted or edited to avoid having to answer the question, "But I thought you said..."

If Trump does this, Team Trump will do an about face on Nikki so fast the world may stop it's rotation.

Honestly, screen shots may be in order just to avoid the fraud...

re: Star Trek vs Star Wars

Hmmmm...

I prefer the Star Wars OT to anything in Star Trek.

That said, outside of The OT, Star Trek has been far and away a better long term franchise. Oh, there have been a ton of misses, but the average is so much better for ST than SW once you leave the first Lucas trilogy.

So what? Why's that an issue?

Because I agree with Kobe...

There was a shitty Jackie Chan movie on TBS one time, The Tuxedo. She was so hot in it I couldn't change the channel.

I'll raise you Heartbreakers, which was also not good.

Also starring Sigourney Weaver...

Do you understand what his accent sounds like to...well, nearly everyone else in the country?

He could be reciting Shakespeare, and let's face it...he isn't, and he'd sound like a complete dumbass to 99% of America.
