I agree with her. He's not working out doing that. One lift and a drop is doing a max, which is pointless under the circumstances.

Working out to get stronger is doing less weight and more reps, not straining to lift once, and dropping immediately.

This guy is a douche and should be called out constantly.

And before anybody tries to ask "Do you lift?" and "What's your max, bro?" No, I don't lift. My max is probably way less than 465. Maybe I could get just above 250 on a good day, with proper prep.

But I also don't annoy others at a public setting, film myself being an annoying douche towards others, then post to youtube bitching about them complaining about me being annoying.

ETA: And then he's walking around, fists balled up, arms flexing, staring her way like he's about to fight her or at least bow up to intimidate?

Even though you made a solid point at the end of your post about the guy’s general behavior, you lost all credibility here. Muscular strength is literally defined as the maximal force produced in one repetition. So if one is improving strength, they are lifting heavy weights with low reps. There’s certainly a place for that. Too many people out there criticize workouts without having a clue what they’re actually talking about

Someone doesn't train to a peak for powerlifting meets, where you test that strength you've built, or just do a mock meet in the gym for the same purpose. Ever heard of steploading? No, because you and that other Karen don't know wtf you're talking about.

I don't think anyone here was gonna ask that. Your first few lines made it abundantly clear that you've never done any strength training.

More proof you've never trained. Nothing about his posture said that to anyone who's ever put their body through what he was putting his through.

He's walking it off. There is zero intimidation coming from him. Looks like completely normal man behavior when lifting. He actually seems pretty chill to me considering how ridiculous she's being.

Remember, she was the instigator. This guy is minding his own business and they're in a gym, not the library.

The very first sentence in this post - those 4 little words -

You clearly have never experienced hitting a max rep.

You would. Your type has feminized the damn gym so much its becoming a coffee bar.

Women are risk averse, scared of everything and bothered by stuff men do. Go find a womans gym.

No you can’t.

How would u know as maxing is “pointless”. I do 80-90% max for reps, thus I need to know my max.

quote:

"Do you lift?" No, I don't lift.

Obviously.
I could go on but it’s a waste of time and would be TLTR. Your either a fricking idiot, or Karen’s husband. Her fat fricking mouth is much more annoying than anything this guy did. Also, come with me on DL day if u think that was bad. I’ll make you turn in your planet fitness badge baw.
