So they can retire at 53 with 30 years, and bring in 50k a year till they’re fricking dead.

Yep. A teacher with a decent state pension is pretty much already a millionaire right now in the same sense that someone is a millionaire if they have over a million in their retirement account…lots of flexibility for teachers once they turn 52-55 if they can make it that long

*EDIT DELETE*- I got Bob Diaco mixed up with someone else. Your post is clearly sarcasm

You mean you don’t trust the Twitter report coming from 12 year old Olivia Scootercaster?
We’ll see. They came in overconfident telling everyone that college football coaches aren’t recruiting right and that they know how to spot talent the pro way…then proceeded to field a joke of a team last year from a talent perspective.

They had a better recruiting class than I thought they would, but a below average portal class. We should see a little better if they really know how to spot talent.

That little pathway from the bus station up by Taz's was always a treat.

You know Taz stabbed and killed a teenager a few years ago in his store? Anyway, I’d say that area has gotten a little worse since COVID, but I venture less and less into downtown myself these days.

She must have been pretty sheltered. Raleigh is no Mobile but there are literally 3 HBCUs within 20 miles of each other in Raleigh and Durham.

I absolutely agree, however you obviously didn’t go near the bus station or moore square if you didnt see any bullshite

And glenwood south is a shithole now

Was about to post the same exact thing. I’ve been in NC for over 30 years and this includes having lived off Glenwood when I was younger.

The problem with Raleigh isn’t necessarily the homeless, it’s the uptick in gang activity (or stupid kids that think they’re gangsters). I don’t know what it is, but kids are just dumber these days and commit stupid crimes in broad daylight. And there are small pockets of really bad neighborhoods spread out all across Raleigh. Theyre small and surrounded by nicer suburbs with the exception of some areas of southeast Raleigh. So you’ll hear of a shooting that happened close to a nice part of town, but it really happened in the subsidized housing complex next to the nice part of town.

It’s still a huge problem though that must get under control. Some of these teen takeovers are happening in “safer” areas
There’s been a ton of crime recently. There was a so called “teen takeover” at a kid’s trampoline park a few weeks ago that resulted in a brawl and three girls getting arrested. The video is exactly as you would expect.

Luckily I live nowhere near where that kinda stuff will happen

Didn’t realize this was a thing. We would qualify…do you just apply when setting up the account for your child?

Same. Not sure if we’re going to open one for oldest though. They both have 529s. Need to probably read up more on the Trump account and see if it’s worth using as a retirement account for the kids to take advantage of long-term exponential growth
I’ve been to Washington Crossing, PA. That water is so damn brown I bet his boat was completely camouflaged
Average life expectancy rates increased by 6-7 years since 1976. Will it increase by at least 6-7 year again in the next 50 years…or more with some rapid advancements in technology?

Or will we be fighting robots for survival in 50 years?

Both seem equally plausible at this point

Morehead City’s waterfront area is nice. They hold one of the biggest fishing tournaments in the world there and Michael Jordan frequently participates.

Jack’s on the water is a good time for drinks (haven’t been there in about 10 years though). You’ll often see some insane yachts pull up if you’re there at night.

Beaufort and Swansboro are nice southern coastal towns nearby too with restaurants. All are within 15-30 minutes away depending on where you’re at.

Obviously any beach area in the summer gets slammed, but this part of the N.C. coast is generally quaint and quiet

Damn, you actually went back and compared Sydney Sweeney’s facial features to the guys in the picture?

That’s the gayest thing I’ve heard all week.
Portland, Austin, and Raleigh are all very similar to me. I guess you could argue Austin deserves it the most but if NC is Braves country as one poster stated, then what does that make Austin?

I don’t want to see Charlotte get an MLB team, but I don’t necessarily have a great reason why.
