You'll think I'm crazy. Rub a wet styptic pencil on it. Instant cure within a day.

Canker sore relief

I use this and recommend this to my patients who come in with it. It’s sanitary where you don’t have to put the stuff on your finger and put it in your mouth

Screw the bottom on the pen, and use it like a paintbrush on the affected area

They have it at Walmart/Walgreens in the mouth care/toothpaste aisles

Had these often as a kid. My parents always made me gargle warm salted water.

For the record, I am not talking about cold sores or any other nasty as things people get on their lips.

You’re probably talking about aphthous ulcers.

For that I used to prescribe 2% viscous lidocaine. It worked well for patients.

Colgate makes a mouth wash called peroxyl always helps me when I get em. Use it a 4-5 times a day. But best remedy for them is a good nights sleep.

I will take salt water and swish that around for several minutes at a time until i can’t take it from the need to spit it out.

And sure enough, the next morning they would basically not bother me anymore

I used to get them frequently too. Try taking lysine every day. Worked for me. I very rarely get them anymore.

Saltwater - as hot as you can stand it and swish it around for as long as you can stand it. Repeat, more is better. Helps git rid of the soreness.

Carafate tablet. It’s supposed to be swallowed to coat stomach ulcers, but you can dissolve it in a small glass of water, then swish it around inside your mouth in the area of the mouth ulcer. Heals within a few days.

I always nuke it with salt directly. Then rinse with salt water. Come to think of it, it's been so long I can't remember my last mouth ulcer. Weird.

Mouth ulcers can be caused by a B vitamin deficiency. Start with a B12 supplement and if that doesn't work, try a B complex. Be careful with B complex though because some of them have like 1000% of the recommended daily allowance of some of the B vitamins. You could just eat fortified cereal too.

Yogurt with active cultures can provide temporary relief. Plop a heap of it on the ulcer, wait 10-20 seconds, swallow, repeat, then enjoy the rest of your yogurt.

Yogurt, salt water, and sometimes alcohol based mouthwash are my remedies.

Both of these require you to be a man (you can then cry like a bitch afterwards. Don't worry about it, everybody does ):

1) hold Listerine in your mouth for and swish for as long as possible, multiple times a day.

2) Same process, but with Everclear.

Goodluck.
