You trying to say that stress doesn't cause herpes flare-ups, and other medical ailments?

Like they said, silver nitrate sticks. Only thing that got rid of them. It hurts pretty bad but it scabs and falls off pretty quickly afterwards.

Dissolve 1 tablespoon of salt & 1 tablespoon of baking soda in a quart of distilled water. Rinse and swish a mouthful 2-3 times a day. Should clear up in a couple of days.

Get arm and hammer peroxicare toothpaste. Brush teeth. Do not spit a single time while brushing.

Brush for two minutes and get a nice foamy mouth.

Take foamy liquid and swish around mouth for another 20 seconds. Spit. DO NOT rinse with water. Leave your mouth as is.

May take a day or so. Brush 2-4 times per day like this. You are welcome

I’d dip a Qtip into a cap full of Hydrogen peroxide then apply to the ulcer for 15 sec. Do this 2x/ day and you should see improvement.

Gargle saltwater like a real man.

I put straight up salt on the damn things. Burns like a bitch for a little while, then numbs up. I find they go away faster when doing that.

The best way is to stop the triggering food/drink, but I too love acidic candies I try to always rinse my mouth out after indulging. Taking an L-lysine supplement does speed ulcer healing and so does warm saltwater rinses a few times a day.

If you are getting them a lot though, it might be sign your oral health could be better overall...

I'm not sure what it called but I used the sticks that they burn herpes ulcers with. My sister is an OBGYN nurse, she got it for me. I had one that lasted weeks on the inside of my lip. She said to lightly touch the ulcer with the stick. I haven't had one since.

For prevention, change toothpaste to one without sodium laurel sulfate (SLS.)
I used to get apthous ulcers all the damn time, tried all the stuff others have listed here.... But I dropped SLS over 10 years ago and haven't had a single ulcer since.

If canker sores continue to give you trouble and over-the-counter solutions don’t work, contact your dentist. I was having trouble with them a couple of years ago and my dentist gave me a prescription mouthwash that was really helpful.

Another thing I do is put the hydrogen peroxide on a Q-tip and then apply it directly to the canker sore. That way you ensure that the canker sore is getting covered in it. Do that at least 2-3 times a day.
