LISTERINE, with the alcohol, so you know the pain you put yourself through. And you must feel the relieving pain that will get you out of it!

I’ve never had mouth ulcers, but do enjoy spicy and acidic foods that can cause some occasional sores. Sometimes certain fruits and veggies with Tajin is a good way to experience the wrath of the LISTERINE later.

Stop over-using mouthwash. The mouthwash kills bacteria. The bacteria controls the fungus in your mouth. The fungus causes the sores. Put the mouthwash aside for a couple of days and see if things improve. Mouthwash is fine… just don’t over do it.

I have used a piece of cotton soaked in Milk of Magnesia. Leave it in for extended periods of time. Always worked for me. Good luck.

Take a laxative. Something in your body is causing the mouth ulcer. My mom used to get frequent mouth ulcers and this worked for her.

I used to get them all the time when I was younger from drinking orange juice and using gel toothpaste. I stopped drinking orange juice and switched to a paste instead of gel. I haven't had a mouth ulcer in forever(knock on wood)

I was coming to post this. It works 100% of the time. Be sure and “grind” the salt into the sore completely. It’s going to hurt. If you do it right, when you get done with the “this hurts really bad salt treatment”, it should be fixed.

I think it dries it out, cauterizes it, destroys the nerve endings or something. Either way, it goes away instantly.

There's this stuff called Kanka. It's a brush on the end of a pencil-sized tube that coats the sore and deadens the pain

prescription mouthwash

I've got a bottle of this stuff at home. It is legit called magic mouthwash.

I recently bit in to something and it cut into the roof of my mouth. Wound up getting an infection and what looked like an ulcer. That mouthwash helped.

I know this sounds weird. I happened to visit my GP 20 years ago and through conversation, mentioned I usually kept 2-3 mouth ulcers at all times. He gave me a shot of cow liver extract. Went from always having 2-3 to none since then - in 20 years. None.

These bastards are killing me, anyone have a remedy that has worked for them.

Used to get them all the time playing trumpet in high school. Best thing was a simple salt water solution multiple times a time. But basically, just time and avoiding accidentally biting them depending on where they are and making them worse.

Tried all kinds of stuff. There was even this stuff you'd put on them which would make like a fake skin coating, but that never worked.

Also used OraJel for toothaches on them to numb them, and that works mostly...but it hurts like fricking hell while you're doing it and only works for so long.

So I get mouth ulcers frequently, normally caused by stress, too much acidic food/drink or who the hell knows why.

Oh, you know why! You gotta limit your "circle of friends". Or tell them to get to a Dr and get a shot!
