The big story of the day on Monday was a Texas judge granting an injunction requested by Texas Tech QB Brendan Sorsby, paving the way for him to be eligible for the 2026 season.

The NCAA previously ruled Sorsby ineligible for wagering on college sports, including on teams he played for.

Monday's news sent a shockwave through the sports world, with many commenting on how broken college athletics are these days.

Former LSU star Tyrann Mathieu even joked that he wants to return to college football...

Except he is. The rule isn’t play the sport for 4 years.

It’s you have 5 years to play up to 4 years. The clock was ticking.

The rule was supposed to be that you couldn’t gamble on your own team. There are no rules.

I think you're missing his point. He's saying it's so ridiculous now you can make your own rules so he should be eligible too.

So you bet on your on team and they let you continue in college sports.? This is a cut and dry case, it shouldn't be a question or controversial.

we can probably find a better suited player for this purpose. HB body isn't what it used to be.

Are you kidding? He would still dominate college football.

I’m not sure about that. He’s not the spring chicken he was in 2010 and 2011. He’s old and beat up from a long NFL career. He’s not as quick or agile anymore.

OK NCAA.....you're up!

NCAA is not saying Sorsby can play. Lawyers have tasted college football money and are in the process of ruining what used to be college football. NCAA can’t do anything without antitrust legislation. The conferences are afraid to flex because, while they can stop member institutions from suing them… the players can and will sue when being punished for breaking a rule costs them money.

Except they are cancelling series and not scheduling games with all TTU sports not just football.
Blacklisting all sports at TTU will effectively end them.

His people didn’t allege antitrust. Wouldn’t have helped here

Wouldn't it be fun to see an opposing QB look across the line and see the Honey Badger inching up on him? Hahaha...

If he was on the field in 2012 TJ Yeldon never scores that go ahead TD. Yes, I'm still bitter. Fking synthetic weed. Les Miles was a moron to let the AD remove HB7

Les held him accountable? Remember the "team vote." That was Les abdicating his responsibility.
